Here are some of the steps along the way toward making the 5x7” helicônia collage. I failed to photograph making the flower, but here are pieces of the background process. Tissues, vellum, alcohol ink, paint pen and colored pencil. #dowhatyoulove #collage #makeart #bemessy Soon to be a card in the Everbloom collection (link in bio) #flowersofbrazil @doiscapelistas @janet.fix taken in Covington, Washington by @elena_stowell_

Im back after some time off to heal and the downtime has been helpful… mostly. 3 new pieces of art - all with a different vibe. Hopefully all 3 will be available at Verve & Vision in the near future.
Shout out to @doiscapelistas who inspired me to make the helicônia by growing it in their backyard and embroidering it. #dowhatyoulove #collageart #illustrate @janet.fix by @elena_stowell_

Driving from Barra d Tijuca to Campo Grande by way of Recreio on the coast road reminds me of coastal hwy 1 in California. And I choose the Recreio beaches over the crowded Copacabana beaches every time. We ate local roadside seafood and cruised through the small towns! When we got Campo Grande I got to ride Churva and meet her 8 month old Chiquinho. Then we had bolo, cafe and bakery fresh bread before BJJ. Truly a trip highlight! Thank you @sandrarocha_14 @marciojiujitsu1 for a beautiful day! #bjjcommunity #dowhatyoulove. There will be more posts about my time Projeto Rocha. taken in Recreio / RJ by @elena_stowell_

Had the privilege of visiting Associação Beneficente + Ágape in Inhoaiba Campo Grande, RJ. @projeto_rocha has been with this organization to teach life skills to families in the community. @joaocruzjj coaches the kids BJJ class. The parents make hair bows and sell them to raise money to support the missions programs. I was treated to a tour, smiles, stores of their efforts and delicious cafezinho 🥰. They are looking for assistance to upgrade and make repairs to their computer lab. If you would like more information please DM. @covingtonrotaryclub @rotary5030 #kindnesscounts #bjjcommunity #dowhatyoulove @oscmaisagape taken in Inhoaíba, Rio De Janeiro, Brazil by @elena_stowell_

Visiting my friend Luciano “Frango” always fills my heart❣️ He is bringing wonderful programs to his community since building his gym. Happy 1 year anniversary to our English class there. @marianobjj07 @ramalhomariojunio Thank you for the support @rotary5030 @covingtonrotaryclub @udistrictrotary @maplevalleyrotary . This year we replaced the white board, provided new markers and gifted the class with a projector so the kids can follow along with their new curriculum workbook! As always I brought gi donations. Thank you @hyperfly @defiance_bjj @combatartsacademy for the donations. #dowhatyoulove #englishforall #kindnesscounts taken in Engenheiro Pedreira/Japeri by @elena_stowell_

🐥 Sharing can be hard—especially when it’s something you really love.

In Holly’s newest adventure, No Way! That’s Mine!, a friend is coming over for a playdate. But ... she soon realizes she isn’t quite ready to share her toys. Her challenge? To learn that taking turns doesn’t mean giving up what she loves—and sharing can bring smiles all around.

The third book in the No Way! series, brought to life by the uniquely talented Elena Stowell is a gentle little story about sharing, friendship, and growing brave.

Signed Insider Editions (including other goodies) are available at janetfix.com, and you can also find it wherever books are sold.

This now makes a trio, with more stories to come. And ... other fun and games in the very near future, so stay tuned! 👀
