Almost exactly one year ago, I filmed a tape for this lil film. i was extremely sick, made a thousand mistakes, expected absolutely nothing out of it, and now here I am in it 🥹

@lastexmas is premiering this month in Wales, and I’m so excited to announce i’ve also been nominated for best female performance in a feature film.

Maggie is a character that I’ve given such a large piece of myself to, and I hope everyone loves her character and this film as much as I did working on it. I met the greatest co stars and crew, who have not only been my coworkers, but friends that I will treasure for the rest of my life.

Usually, this career is the most difficult thing I ever chose for myself. But sometimes, there’s moments like these, that make it all worth it 🎄💙 by @elenamilo_

ZEITGEIST

it’s a special thing when your art gives back a thousand times more than what you brought in.

i’ve felt quite lost this past year, caught up in my losses and clinging to whatever success i could find. when i was asked to do Zeitgeist, i was incredibly apprehensive about returning to the theatre.

what i found in that rehearsal room was more than just a chance to perform. i found the desire to play again, sobriety, challenge, eagerness, and so much inspiration. i cannot even describe how inspired i am every day by these artists- every day i was learning and re learning everything i thought i knew about improvisation, play, listening, giving, being. there are the most basic discoveries you make in a room of people you admire that a whole degree of theatre training cannot give you.

i look up to you all so much. i love this show, but i love these artists even more. watching how a group of people can be so free and desperately honest with one another. i aspire to be alike you all.

thank you Ben for writing such a wonderful script & trusting me with Caroline, your writing speaks so easily it’s incredible- i am so lucky to fear a show ending this badly.

a massive thank you to @irisprize for having me and @lastexmas in Cardiff!

This was such an honour, and I couldn’t have imagined a more incredible festival to mark my first.

So grateful to have shared this past week with my mom, Sarah and Adrianna, three incredible women who have impacted my life in such incredible ways.
