Je suis une artiste textile dont la pratique interroge la mémoire contenue dans la matière et la trace humaine inscrite dans le geste de création.
Travaillant à partir de vêtements anciens et de tissus nobles, j'explore les notions de lien, de tension et de fragile équilibre entre union et séparation.
Le fil, la couture et la broderie deviennent à la fois médium et métaphore, révélant les dimensions poétiques et émotionnelles des relations humaines.
À la croisée des arts plastiques et de l’artisanat textile, ma pratique relie le tactile et le conceptuel, l’intime et l’universel.

I can’t make the private view this evening so I’ve just had my own special private view of this beautiful exhibition called Dot to Dot at @threerooms_e17

It features the work of French textile artist @eleonoregodeau which I would happily fill my home with. It’s a mesmerising collection that marries antique textiles and craft, placing them within a considered, orderly and modern context.

The work is gorgeous.

Eleonore sits alongside illustrative drawings by @elsa_curwen and sculptural jewellery from @sasha___webb (pictured). Walthamstow, you are in for a treat.
