We need your help.

Our growing herd of rescued orphan elephants exhausted our grazing land and we needed to expand.

Through your support, we did just that. We desperately need to add fencing to ensure our baby elephants can grow safely.

Every little bit helps. Whether $5 or $500, every penny you donate will directly support our conservation efforts and help ensure these orphaned elephants one day return to the wild!

Today, you have the power to impact the future of these orphaned baby elephants! taken in Elephant Havens Wildlife Foundation by @elephant_havens

Our Mission: Protect and Preserve the African Elephant.

1. Habitat Protection. We work with local governments and community leaders to set aside natural land as a wildlife refuge.

2. Rescue of orphaned elephants. We are on-call 24/7 to respond to reports of orphaned baby elephants. Once rescued, our full-time team of professional handlers cares for and raises the babies to prepare them for release into the wild.

3. Community Outreach. Our conservation model revolves around community empowerment. Through education and collaboration, we provide the resources needed to reduce wildlife conflict and empower the next generation to protect Botswana's natural resources.

Our mission is only possible through your generous support. Learn more about how you can foster a baby #elephant or fund a community project at the link in our bio! taken in Elephant Havens Wildlife Foundation by @elephant_havens

Joy finished her two liters and went straight back to the milk cart. Barati was not fooled. Joy did not care.

She has been pulling this move for months and the success rate is higher than it should be. We are working on it. by @elephant_havens

KT had words for the herd this morning. Joy and Skondi were the most attentive. The rest of the herd had already spotted the grazing land and made their own plans. by @elephant_havens

KT declared Joy and Skondi team captains today and led the whole herd out for a football match. No word yet on World Cup qualification, but the scouts should probably get down to Maun. by @elephant_havens

Morning walk out to the sanctuary. The whole herd, all at once, just moving through the dry heat together. The delta is still flowing near us, which is something this time of year. Rain hasn't come yet, but the water hasn't dropped either. Small mercies. by @elephant_havens

KT asked Joy for her homework this morning. Joy had absolutely nothing to show for it.

She's been here since she was three weeks old, found on the highway outside Maun with traffic stopped around her. A year in and she still acts like the rules don't apply to her. by @elephant_havens

KT appears to be running some kind of lesson out there. Rosie is tracking every hand movement with the focus of someone who has done the math and knows exactly what she stands to gain.

She is not wrong. The answer is always more snacks. by @elephant_havens

Joy has decided she is still a lap elephant. Bryan disagrees. Joy is not accepting that answer.

She is one year old and roughly 300 pounds of very determined baby elephant. by @elephant_havens

Joy and Boteti parked themselves next to Bryan in the shade this afternoon. That field log next to him gets filled in every single day, every habit, every little thing the herd does. You can see why it adds up fast with these two around. by @elephant_havens

Matsaudi found Debra's thumb this morning and was not letting go. You can just spot her little tusks starting to come in if you look close enough. by @elephant_havens
