10 years of teaching Spanish 🧡 10 years of ELE que ELE 🧡 10 years of stories 🧡 In 2026, this little Spanish project turns 10! What started as an adventure to be able to work while travelling became a passion and shaped my whole lifestyle the past years. ELE que ELE comes from the Spanish expression "erre que erre", adapted to the world of Spanish as a Foreign Language (Español como Lengua Extranjera = ELE) and it means persistence. Now I know why I came up with this brand name; it makes sense. This path is defined by consistency, commitment and dedication. Where is ELE que ELE con Raquel? 📍Between Canary Islands & Cantabria (North of Spain) , but teaching Spanish online to the world 🗺! This road started in 2016 while living in Amsterdam (NL). I remember my first two private students. One was a Russian teen I've got through a language school, and the other one was a Dutch young guy whose girlfriend was Spanish. They both jumped into the adventure when I moved to Uruguay for 5 months and I proposed them to continue online👩🏽‍💻. Once back in town, there would come many more students to my lessons. I loved cycling to the language schools I worked for, to my student's huijses (zo gezellig to be welcomed with a cup of tea), to office's companies... Students, who, someohow became also friends; students I'm so proud of! It’s being a pleasure, especially the past 4 years, connecting with my international students and I'm grateful for dedicating my time to my project teaching Spanish as a foreign language, among other things, and I’m now ready for the second part of 2024!
