My name is Lindsay Colker and I am the Founder & President of Elevate Communications, a full-service public relations and communications consulting boutique. I founded the company after nearly 20 years working for some of the biggest entertainment corporations including Paramount, Sony, and the transformative juggernaut, Netflix. I love what I do and who I do it for - my unique and diverse group of clients across a broad spectrum of businesses.

For those of you who are new here, welcome! For those of you who have been on this ride with me since the beginning, thank you!

A lot of what you'll see here is educational information about PR and communications, get-to-knows about me (because who I am informs how I think and work), and inspirations (because my creativity and passion are fueled by it).

Thank you for being here and being a part of my journey.

Many that reap the benefits of press coverage - or are even consumers of it - often don't understand how hard a publicist worked behind-the-scenes to land that story. It takes numerous attempts to capture the attention of a journalist, and if you're lucky, land the story.

Here are a few examples of what I'm talking about with coverage I secured for clients.

Every job I’ve had in PR has taught me something along the way - about myself, about the work, about the people, about life. My second job in this industry was working for a PR agency. It’s where I cut my teeth and learned how to pitch, how to work with multiple clients, how to hustle.

I enjoy reflecting on what I’ve learned and gotten out of my various roles in PR and Communications over the years.

I’d love to hear yours!

Grateful for the clients who trust me with their business and send me notes of gratitude. I save them all! It’s a reminder that the people I work with are as much a reflection of me as I am to them.

What do you think it's like working with @kdprince ?
I'll tell you.

It's wild (in the best way).
There's a LOT of laughing.
A lot of moments where you stop yourself and think, "Did he just say that?" (and you are so good with it).
And moments where you say to yourself, "THIS is what it's all about," (having fun partnering with one of the most creative human beings of our time. Truly.)

It's kind of a weird thing when you both work at the same company, and then you leave and go do cool shit together. You start building things you once assumed could only happen inside a big business and somewhere along the way, realize how much of what you thought belonged to the institution actually belonged to you.

I'll continue doing all the things with you and that big, beautiful brain, heart, and personality of yours, Kevin, and support you on all your endeavors with @headsintheskydrones and @thisisskyad .

And thanks, @labusinessjournal for seeing what we're seeing. by @elevate_comms
