The women of Elevate Aviation just can’t be stopped! 😉

Their hard work and dedication is creating waves within the industry and it’s a pleasure witnessing them excel within the aviation industry.

The @copanational Flight Instructor of the Year award was presented to Hannah McKay, a Flight Instructor who has demonstrated professionalism and excellence, leaving a positive impression on pilots in training.

Ilianna Thasitis continues to dominate the skies, as the recipient of the COPA Morris Kansun Advanced Flight Training Scholarship. This scholarship celebrates the memory of Morris Kansun, an accomplished Canadian pilot and businessman.

Cassandra Derks has earned the SAIT’s Outstanding Young Alumni Award for 2026. A graduate of their Aircraft Maintenance Engineering program, the resilience Cassandra shows as a woman in one of the most male-dominated career paths within the industry is inspiring and admirable.

Madison Crane is one of only eight pilots across Canada to take home the 2026 Captain Judy Cameron Scholarship. As a woman who not only excels in her own training, but actively encourages other women, this is a well-deserved achievement for Madison.

Let’s give these ladies a round of applause for standing tall, showing up, and truly making a difference in the world of aviation.

Does your workplace prioritize mental health, or is it something no one talks about? 👀

Elevate Aviation prioritized the wellbeing of our team by participating in the Canadian Mental Health Association’s Staff Wellness Training Session. (@cmhaedmonton)

Not only does this allow us to take care of ourselves and each other, but evidence shows that support like this increases productivity and engagement while decreasing turnover rates.

The first session, Rethinking Our Thoughts, explored the connection between how we think, feel, and act. This included being able to identify and challenge unhelpful thinking patterns and approach our thoughts and emotions in a more balanced way.

Stress Management is important in every workplace. The team at CMHA walked us through how our bodies and minds respond to stress and how we can manage it.

Thank you to CMHA for allowing us to take a moment to slow down, learn, and be better prepared for our responsibilites tomorrow!

Change takes courage, community, and commitment.

We deeply felt all three at the Aviation Inclusivity Summit, where aviation professionals, students, and advocates from across the country came together to listen, learn, and have meaningful conversations about building a more inclusive future for aviation in Canada.

We were proud to see our team contribute to those conversations, with Litzy co-hosting a breakout session on Naming & Navigating Microaggressions in Aviation Workplaces, and Briggs sharing his perspective and experience within the industry as a panelist on Trans Voices in Aviation.

Thank you to Canadian Aviation Pride (@canadianaviationpride) for creating a space for such an inspiring and empowering event, fostering connection, learning, and continued progress.

Elevate Aviation is proud to partner with Canadian Aviation Pride, Northern Lights Aero Foundation (@northernlightsaero), Urban Pilots and Professionals Network (@urbanpilotsnetwork), and Black Aviation Professionals Network (@bapn.stargaze) on this event and in our continued commitment to creating meaningful change.

Today, on the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we honour the Survivors of residential schools, the children who never returned home, and their families and communities. We recognize the lasting impacts of the residential school system and the responsibility we all share in advancing reconciliation.

Within Canada’s aviation industry, reconciliation also calls on us to consider how we create meaningful opportunities, strengthen relationships, and remove barriers for First Nations, Inuit and Métis Peoples.

At Elevate Aviation, we remain committed to creating more inclusive pathways into aviation and supporting Indigenous youth and communities through mentorship, connection, and opportunities within the sector.

Today is a day to listen, learn, reflect, and recognize that reconciliation requires continued action.

The constant precision, pressure, and performance in the aviation industry can be hard to manage.

If you’re struggling with imposter syndrome or perfectionism, this one is for you.

Join us for a free Echo Insights webinar, in which Dr. Abigail Powell, @theaviationtherapist, explores the psychology behind why successful professionals often feel like they’re not delivering enough.

In a session built for pilots, air traffic controllers, instructors, AMEs, and aviation professionals across the field, we invite the submission of questions for a Q&A with Dr. Powell. Submit your questions before the webinar on the session posting in the Echo app!

Comment “App Info” (or visit the link in our bio) to sign up today and gain access to this webinar and many more. Please note that the Echo app is currently only available in Canada.

Class is in session!

We’re so excited to be in the beautiful Victoria Harbour here in British Columbia for our Elevating Leadership: Immersive Leadership Experience.

It’s not often that you round up 32 female leaders in the aviation industry in one location, but when you do, it’s the most inspiring, powerful, and uplifting environment to be apart of.

We’re here to put in the work, build our leadership skills, and develop tools that we’ll continue to use every single day of our careers.

Events like these are why the aviation community is so strong, and why we’re so proud to be involved.
