You are an exceptional sister, a devoted aunt, a talented makeup artist, and a daughter beyond anything I could have ever imagined. Watching you grow into the woman you are today has been one of my life’s greatest blessings.

Basketball was my son’s first love. 🏀
As a mom, it broke my heart to see that dream fade the pain in his eyes, the silence near a court. But even in that hurt, God was working. 🙏🏽

He could’ve given up… some do. But he held on to faith. He leaned on God’s grace and mercy, and turned that pain into purpose.

Now at the age of 21 he’s pouring that same love back into others — mentoring, guiding, and inspiring young players on and off the court.

It’s not our plan, it’s His. Through it all, my son stayed faithful and relentless. To God be the glory! 💫

Brotherhood like this is rare and priceless. One teaching, one receiving, both growing. I’m blessed to witness my children uplifting each other, sharpening each other, and walking in the kind of bond I always prayed for. I’m so grateful to God for keeping and protecting my kids. They are my world. I’ve done everything in my power to cover them, guide them, and expose them to what would make them respectful, resilient, and well-rounded.
This last move I made for them wasn’t easy, but it opened doors, stretched them, and helped shape them into who they’re becoming. Growth looks good on them and I’m just thankful to witness it. 🙏🏾💫 by @elevated_essentail

Mekhi called me during the last 3 miles and said,
“Mom, I need some encouragement.”
I was in tears—but I poured into him like I always do.
Because I don’t just pray for my kids
—I live for them.
He was cramping. In pain. Ribs aching. But he never gave up.
He pushed harder. And he finished stronger.
Final mile? 6:02 pace. That’s relentless.
Pain is temporary. But purpose?
That’s forever.
This was his first half marathon—and he crushed it in 1:37:16.
Relentless till the end.

Still speechless...
My son Mekhi just finished his first-ever half marathon-and he crushed it with a record time of 1:37:16!
13.29 miles. 7:19 pace. Pure determination.
From relentless training to race day execution, he proved that when you move with purpose and heart, nothing is impossible.
This is just the beginning.
I don’t stop when l’m tired, I stop when I’m done.
So proud doesn’t even begin to cover it. You did that, son!

To the Women Who Keep Pushing

For the mothers who’ve lost, the single moms carrying the weight, and the women fighting silent battles—you are stronger than the pain. For those raising children who have survived trauma, who have witnessed the unthinkable, who carry the scars of gun violence—you are their rock, their safe place, their hope.

With God, all things are possible. Healing is possible. Breaking cycles is possible. Joy after loss is possible. I am so blessed to have experienced this life changing experience with my daughter.

Happy 21st Birthday to my amazing son! Your infectious smile, character, strength, and determination inspire everyone around you. You've consistently raised the bar for yourself and those who look up to you, and I am so proud of how you stay true to yourself while keeping God first.

Always remember that you can achieve anything you set your mind to, and with that, you will be blessed. As you step into this new chapter of your life, continue to set new goals.
