We kicked off Week 1 of Create2Change and the energy in the room said everything!Create2Change is a our 6 week trauma-informed summer diversion programWith campers joining us from both St. Thomas and St. John, our first week was all about laying the foundation for trust, for growth, and for the journey ahead.Orientation set the tone with a deep dive into expectations and foundational life skills. Campers engaged in career and interest assessments to help them understand where they are and begin to imagine where they want to go.This week, our counselors have been creating space for something real. Our young people opened up about what they want to work on — handling conflict with friends, strengthening their communication, and showing up as their best selves. What moved us most was hearing them talk about image and the fear of being judged. These are young Virgin Islanders carrying real weight, and they trusted us with it.That vulnerability is not a small thing. It is the foundation everything else gets built on. We see you. We've got you.
