Some paths are chosen.

Others seem to choose us.

If you found yourself standing at the edge of the Elfenwild in this moment, which path would call your name?

In May, beneath the magic of Glastonbury skies, the Elfenwild gathered. A meeting of laughter and friendship, where the Elfenwild called in their human companions.

Heralgo the Faery Hare with Fynn, his bright-eyed pixie companion, never far from his side.
Playful Leaf Pixies emerged from the forest floor, while a gentle tribe of Moss Sprites gathered excitedly.

Among them moved Igneysius the Faery, with Rhondalyne the Pixie carrying their stories from between worlds.

Each brought their own spirit to the gathering, and their own story to share.

Tell us below, which of these beings would you have followed, if you’d been there with us?

Listen closely child, the Troll Witches tales are of the Elfenwild…..

The Troll Witch was inspired by the fantastic Brian Froud’s front cover illustration from the book ‘Trolls’ by Brian and Wendy Froud.
She was created with the blessing and guidance of the Froud’s and stands as a homage to Brian’s work.

The Troll Witch will be attending @artsgreenhill Widdershins 3 exhibition this Summer.

Photo taken in Brian & Wendy’s garden, where the Troll Witch feels very much at home.

Autumn has arrived along the old woodland paths, and with it, new Beings have begun to emerge.

From moss-covered banks, the branches of ancient oaks and deep burrows beneath the woodland floor, they have stepped forward to greet the turning of the year.

Each carries their own story and a hope of finding a human companion with whom to share their days.

Soon, they will journey to Glastonbury, where tales will be shared, new friendships made, and perhaps some will find a new place to call home.

For now, take a little time to sit with them.

Look closely, notice the feelings they bring forward in you, maybe you can hear their story?

Stay close, Travellers.
Before long, we shall begin to share their names with you, and listen for the stories they have carried from the woodland.

🍂 The leaves are beginning to fall, gathering beneath the trees and covering the old paths.

And amongst the damp earth, moss and fallen wood, the first fungi are beginning to appear.

It is a time when the woodland changes almost daily.

Colours deepen.
The forest floor comes alive.
And some of the Beings who have been hidden amongst the green begin to show themselves.

These are some of the Autumnal Beings we have encountered in of The Elfenwild.

Perhaps you have noticed them too?

If you would like to hear the name of one of these Beings, choose the one who has caught your eye and tell us which number in the comments.

We shall listen carefully and reveal their names…

From corner of eye, a shadow flies,
In ear a song comes near.
Pay attention child, for the Elfenwild
Are ever and always here- WTJ

Welcome to the realm of The Elfenwild.

The place between the veils, betwixt our world and theirs.
The Elfenwild are the glimmers of movement in the forest, a quick glimpse from the corner of your eye…

Can you see them?
Are you listening?

🍂 Autumn Equinox Blessings, Travellers of the Elfenwild.

On Autumn equinox light and darkness stand in balance, before the long turning towards winter begins.

The Trolls look forward once more to wandering beneath the turning leaves, searching for sweet chestnuts amongst the forest floor , gathering the gifts of the harvest and giving thanks for all the earth has provided.

May this turning of the year bring you balance, gratitude and a moment to pause and notice the changing world around you.

What will you look forward to as the wheel of the year turns once more?

Some friendships begin in the most unexpected places.

Mother Burrsap found Bothistle as a tiny Dormouse pup, alone amongst the rowan trees.

The years have passed, and the two have become inseparable, wandering the old paths, learning the ways of the forest and sharing in its many secrets.

We wonder what Bothistle might discover next…
What would you introduce Bothistle to if you met him in the forest? 🌿

The beautiful Dormouse, Bothistle, was created in collaboration with @ombrumes , whose wonderful work brought this little companion to life.

Beings of the Elfenwild have been finding one another in the most unexpected places and often have unexpected stories to share together.

One day, beside the quiet waters of a lake in the Brocéliande Forest, Olde Grund came upon Pippel the Pixie…. She was full of excitement with news to share.

We don’t know what passed between them, we don’t know if Olde Grund liked what he heard, or if in-fact he already knew and it wasn’t news at all?

Perhaps Pippel had heard of an adventure?
Or of other Elfenwild beside the waters?

What do you imagine Pippel shared with Olde Grund?
