This weekend I had the privilege and blessing to experience a beautiful retreat as an adult. Last time I went to a retreat I was 16-17 years old when I was getting confirmed. I hadn’t faced real temptations or hardships at that age. In my adult life I’ve strayed away from my faith and I felt guilty for the longest and these past couple of months I’ve decided to put some effort to reconnect and look where it’s gotten me. It was beautiful to reconnect, leave the baggage behind of what was weighing me down and come back feeling renewed in Christ and the Holy Spirit. I wish I could explain the feelings I felt but these things you simply cannot put into words. I encourage everyone that I know to take the chance at an A.C.T.S retreat in their lifetime. It is a wonderful experience. I’m blessed to have been able to do it alongside my pops who’s always been there for me no matter what, moments like these I will never take for granted. I hope to continue growing in my faith. The hard part is only beginning bc it’s easy to be holy and all that at a retreat but outside in the real world with all its temptations and pleasures Ouweee that’s the real challenge.
