"These poor women. They take a lovely, handsome chap from the street, make him their husband, and then, in the blinks of an eye, he becomes a big, lazy sack of shit. So sad".

I have a bachelor degree in history of arts and that's the most useless thing ever but hey, at least I've learnt about Vanitas that I quite often reference to in my artworks.
Didn't bother looking for references so I posed on my own 💅🏻

I was reminiscing about my cosplay journey and here are some characters I've done over the past years. TW: emotional and cringe.

1 - Gothic Jolyne, 2025. Love these AliExpress glasses
2 - Yasuho for EpicCon 2025, this is the improved version (previous one is in the pic 4)
3 - Cher Horowitz for Halloween 2024, I've been dreaming of cosplaying her FOR AGES but all the ready-made costumes were for petite y/n girls (apparently women over M size do not wear pretty clothes). So, I sewed everything myself even though my sewing skills are very poor
4 - First version of Yasuho for EpicCon 2024, my first con in 5 years
5 - Giorno (and first Jojo cosplay) for Halloween 2023
6 - Nobara from JJK, 2022. I had red hair back then and so much love for her, so I bought the costume, took this picture and never dressed up as Nobara ever again 🥀
7 - Magenta from Rocky Horror Picture Show for Halloween 2019. DAMN, I do miss red hair, it was my prime but I do not miss dyeing the roots every month though
8 - Daphne from Scooby Doo for AVA Expo 2019
9 - LMAO. Melisandre from GoT and my VERY FIRST con, ComicCon 2015 (EpicCon nowadays). My then classmate said something like, "Ooh, no offense but the woman next to you is a better Melisandre", like bitch, of course?? She's a professional?? But I still took that personally, it made me so insecure that I stoped doing cosplays (even though it had been just wrapping up in curtains) until 2019. So, fuck that classmate, and if you're reading this, bitch, fuck you twice
10 - Put on pretty clothes and told everyone I was Elsa from Frozen, Halloween 2014
11 - And the best thing I've done and the earliest I could find, 2014. Bang, bang! by @elie_creator
