Ukrainian food in Melbourne?! 🇺🇦🇦🇺 📍 European Flavour, 819 Glen Huntly Road, Caulfield South I came here to try Ukrainian food for the first time and found such a cool little deli. The Ukrainian owner was super friendly, people were speaking Ukrainian, and there was a whole range of iconic dishes and treats to explore. You can sit inside or outside, or grab something to take away. What I tried and the menu prices: 🥣 Meat Borscht Soup — from $13 A beetroot and meat soup with vegetables. The tender meat and refreshing broth made this my favourite. 🥬 Beef Cabbage Rolls — from $11 Beef wrapped in cabbage leaves. They reminded me of the Greek λαχανοντολμάδες I grew up with. 🥟 Fried Pirozhki with Potato — $6 A soft, buttery fried bun filled with creamy potato. 🥞 Syrniki — $6 Cottage cheese and sultana pancakes. Crispy on the outside, soft and juicy inside. 🍕 Small Pepperoni Pizza — $12 Soft, pillowy base with crispy pepperoni on top — proper nostalgic, old-school pizza vibes. 🥩 Philly Cheesesteak — $17.95* Super cheesy, beefy, tender and ridiculously messy in the best way possible. 🍟 Bolognese Loaded Fries — $18.95* Rich, herby Bolognese over crispy fries, basically like someone put your mum’s homemade spag bol on top of crispy chips 😂 Really enjoyed this one! Can’t believe I came across an Argentinian restaurant in Melbourne… 🇦🇷 Welcome back to my series where I’m seeing if it’s possible to try every country’s main dish without leaving Melbourne! 🇦🇺 Today’s episode takes us to Argentina 🇦🇷 to try Argentinian steak / asado — one of the foods most associated with Argentina’s famous barbecue culture. And where better to try it than Asado in Southbank, where the meat is cooked over an open-fire parrilla grill. 🔥🥩 As a massive meat fan, I was VERY keen for this one 😂 We also tried the papas bravas on the side, which were seriously soft and fluffy. Ben & Jerry’s invited me to their new Melbourne store?!? 🍦🤯 Still in disbelief that such a massive global brand reached out to me for their newest Hardware Lane store in Melbourne CBD. Me?! Honestly crazy 😂 I absolutely loved the experience, and the ice cream was so creamy and delicious. I highly recommend checking out their new store!
