We are officially 47 days away from Election Day, and I’m happy to share the growing support my campaign is receiving. I’m honored to have earned the support of leaders in education, government, and communities across San Francisco who know that I’m ready to bring my experience as a campus planner to the Board. I’m committed to growing enrollment, establishing long-term financial stability, and helping City College students succeed!

Right now, I’m working to reach a fundraising goal by Saturday, and every donation will help me reach more San Franciscans before Election Day. Can I count on you for support? Please visit my website and make a contribution today so I can share my platform, build momentum, and fight for a stronger future for City College 💪 taken in San Francisco, California by @elijahballsf

For many in San Francisco, the Free City program helps make college possible. It helps students cover the real costs of obtaining higher education, especially for the ones that worry about paying rent, buying school supplies, or supporting their children while balancing work and school. I stood up for Free City when it was facing budget cuts this year and I will continue advocating for the program! taken in San Francisco, California by @elijahballsf

IT’S OFFICIAL: I’M ON THE NOVEMBER BALLOT! 🗳️

On Friday, I filed and qualified as a candidate for the San Francisco Community College Board of Trustees.

As a campus planner and first-generation college graduate, I know how powerful higher education is and what it takes for colleges to grow and thrive. With a clear vision and plan, we can make City College one of the best community colleges in the country!

I’m grateful to City College Trustees Ruth Ferguson, Heather McCarty, and Luis Zamora for their support, as well as to the friends who joined me at City Hall to celebrate this milestone.

85 days until November 3! I’m excited to share this journey with you all. More updates coming soon! taken in San Francisco City Hall by @elijahballsf

I grew up in a family where college wasn’t an assumed next step…. but moving to San Francisco at 18 opened a new chapter where I became a first-generation college graduate and developed a career helping colleges plan for the future and student success. I’m running for City College Board to help make that opportunity possible for more people. taken in San Francisco, California by @elijahballsf

I’m honored to have Gary McCoy’s endorsement for City College Board of Trustees and proud to support him for District 8 Supervisor.

Gary’s journey, from experiencing homelessness to serving in City Hall and the halls of Congress, has shaped his commitment to public service. His experience, resilience, and longstanding advocacy for LGBTQ+ rights are why I believe he’s ready to lead on day one. I’m beyond grateful to have his confidence and support in me as well! Remember SF, get out there and vote! taken in San Francisco, California by @elijahballsf

With less than 40 days until Election Day, momentum is growing!

KALW reported today that my campaign has raised the highest amount in the City College Board race. I’m proud that more than $2,000 came from people contributing less than $100.

This support comes from teachers, students, civic leaders, public-service workers, family, and longtime friends who believe in the power of education and that City College deserves experienced and thoughtful leadership.

I’m beyond grateful to everyone helping me in this race. Read the full KALW story. Link in bio. taken in San Francisco, California by @elijahballsf

I’m honored to have earned the trust and support of the Chinese American Democratic Club, Ed Lee Democratic Club, and Asian Americans for Good Government PAC.

As a Trustee, I will work in partnership with San Francisco’s Asian and Pacific Islander communities to advance their needs at City College, including protecting and strengthening courses in Cantonese, a language inseparable from our city’s culture and history.

City College is also proud to be both a Hispanic-Serving Institution and an Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander-Serving Institution. With approximately one in four City College students identifying as Asian, I do not take these endorsements for granted. taken in San Francisco, California by @elijahballsf

Thank you to @theguardsmanccsf for speaking with me about my campaign for the City College Board of Trustees.

City College is at a pivotal moment. I’m running to help grow enrollment, strengthen the College’s long-term financial stability, and support reopening the Downtown Center, and ensure students and community members have a meaningful voice in its future.
