2016 was wild, amazing, and fresh in a way. From gigs with buddies, parties with family, worship nights with friends to asking @rach.lynnb out it was so much more than I could hope for.

I can’t begin to tell you how much I love you, how grateful I am for you, and how much you inspire me.

I don’t know why on earth you said yes, but oh my God am I grateful you did. In a year when I have felt like my lowest you pulled me up and in, and when it felt like I had no one you were my constant. Thank you for being my partner, an incredible mother, and best friend.

If you ever leave me, please take me with you 🫶🏽. Happy anniversary my love…

This show was a special one. Never would’ve gotten into @empireofthesunsound had it not been for one of my closest friends @_alexclement. I was hooked. So much so that I bought tickets to their next show in Denver, and oddly enough it was the same day I asked my wife @rach.lynnb out on a date for the first time.

Now, she couldn’t make the show, but my brother @joethorsen stepped in and rocked the floor with me.
And after 8 years of no new music or tours they release an album and go on tour, so to see them was a gift given to me by @abrammontes92.

This one. This one right here. I can’t even begin to tell you how humbled I am by her. She consistently out-kinds me, she always makes the most intentional and loving decisions, and she has been stronger the last year than I can even explain. Her determination and love are unmatched. Her strength and compassion are second to none; and I have never been so honored than I have been now. I can only hope that each day I live I make it up to her.

@rach.lynnb, I love you. More than anything in this world. More than the times where we are cracking up during our favorite Friend’s episode, more than the moments where I know I’ve let you down, more than the space in between, and more than you could ever know. - EASTER -

Few events have deepened my understanding of love, and Love. While I haven’t ever fully understood Love like this and never will, I have come closer to it. Nothing but sheer gratitude is on my mind today, as we remember the cost of love. Thank you Jesus. Thank you for my family; thank you for loving them better than I ever could. - UPDATE -

I’ve always been curious as to the nature of how prayer works. We do it, we tell Him how awesome He is, thank Him, and then ask for things. But does that mean we change His mind? Idk, still wrestling on it.

But at any rate, a few short hours after I posted yesterday the Dr came in and said everything somehow ( 😏 ) turned around and that we were good to come home. Wild. I have of course God to thank, but also my family, friends, and some personal heroes of mine who prayed. Thank you, we are at home, peacefully settling in to our new normal :-)

It’s cool to see everyone united, especially in a world separated by religious ideals, philosophies and political beliefs. Sometimes a little humility and grace go a long way. As always, love God, and love each other. “La familia es todo” by @elijahbarrientos

Surviving in the midst of thriving. Prayers up for my family please.

I’ve never seen Rachel fight so hard; her strength and willpower are unmatched. I don’t know how she does it. This recovery has been the opposite of smooth, but though we’re still at the hospital, all I can think of is how sufficient His grace is.

Lucas is in his own little tanning bed (summer vibes?) because of his jaundice, which sucks for him because he’s like his parents, and we cannot sit still, so in turn HE cannot sit still lol. But results are good, and for one so small he is a champion. I love him so much.

That’s the end of my entry into the world of digital waves bombarding us each day from each angle with information. Hold your dear ones close, love people, and love Jesus. He loved you first y’know. by @elijahbarrientos
