Culture isn't inherently wrong. It is something that God created, He is diverse, has flavor, and variety which is why we have various ethnicities and geographical locations. (Acts 17:26-27)

The problem with culture is this: It is filled with fallen people. Fallen people will always lead culture away from following God and we can see that vividly today.

Yet and still, God is not trying destroy culture but restore it back to its original design He had in mind. When we look at a culture as something God can't restore or redeem were looking at it through the wrong lens.

Revelation 7:9 ESV
After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands,

Don't go back and forth with what the Word says just come into agreement with. Speak His Word, speak to the mountain and watch it turn into a plain and give God the glory.

Zechariah 4:6-7 ESV

‘Speaking things into existence’ or attracting blessings through positive thinking. That power belongs to God alone. Romans 4:17 says it is GOD who ‘calls into being things that do not exist.’ We don’t declare our own reality—we come into agreement with what God has already spoken.”

Year 36.......

It was heavy, heart breaking, painful, and life altering.

But it was a year when I encountered the strength outside of myself. For some reason our culture is obsessed with downplaying dependence on God as though it's a bad thing.

Meditating today, I think I know why.

If there is no dependence on God, you are your own god. You make the aims, the goals, and the guidelines

That is not the life of a believer.

We are marked by our dependence on God because you can only build the things that God wants with the strength He provides.

Thy Kingdom Come...is the Aim, the mission, and the Journey. My strength can't do that and year 36 showed me that.

Thank you Lord for being my strength, my comfort, and my refuge.

Thank you to my circle and church family for all the birthday wishes, the encouragement, trust and support during the last year.

May my dependence on God increase and may it all be for His glory.

To my BABY MOMMA! My girl, my wife, I love you.

One thing everybody knows you don't play about them kids. Everyday you give them your all, you show up and put the best foot forward. I'm thankful to have such a loving and wonderful mother for my children God could not have blessed us with better.
