Morton Feldmans „Three Voices“ (1982) ist ein knapp einstündiges Werk für eine Sängerin und zwei zuvor von ihr eingesungene Tonbandstimmen. In schwebender Dreistimmigkeit entfaltet sich eine fragile, fast unbewegte Klangfläche aus langen Tönen und leisen Wiederholungen. Zum 100. Geburtstag Feldmans präsentiert Elina Viluma-Helling, Sopranistin von Cantando Admont, dieses revolutionäre Spätwerk. Die Werke der Ars subtilior wiederum spielen mit dem Zusammenklang dreier Männerstimmen: Daraus entsteht ein faszinierender Klang, der uns heute aufregend fremd erscheint.

Im August gastiert Cantando Admont beim Festival St. Gallen auf Burg Gallenstein – mit einem Programm, das ganz im Zeichen der Musik Beat Furrers steht: Von den poetischen Verwandlungen in in mia vita da vuolp über die virtuosen Klangwelten von Melodie und presto bis zu Canti della tenebra und den Klavierstudien bewegt es sich entlang fragil-schöner Grenzen zwischen Mensch und Tier, Melodie und Geräusch, Bewegung und Stillstand.

LITANEI
In June I had the honor to premiere this incredible new piece by Beat Furrer at @louth_contemporarymusicsociety . Almost 20 min long chamber music piece for a soprano, string quartet and a clarinet. Text: Ingebog Bachmann. A very intensive and emotional cry of inner pain and struggle. I was lucky to have these wonderful musicians along with me:

Salzburger Festspiele 2026

3 wonderful concerts with 3 different programs.

I am so thankful to have this incredible opportunity to be a guest here already for 6th (or is it 7th???) year. Kollegien Kirche feels like home and meeting so many friends here feels like family reunion! Thank you @cantandoadmont !

Tomorrow is the day! Morton Feldman “Three Voices”!

The ones who know this piece will notice that in the video i am making a very obvious mistake. But i guess that’s the thing about this piece… It’s almost impossible to sing it without a mistake and it forces you to be ok with that. The same as it makes you accept your past self. You have to sing with your own recordings that are made a year or 2 ago. And it might be that you find yourself in a completely different mindset than 2 years ago.
Maybe this really is the best piece to finish a year with ⭐️

Eintritt: freie Spende 
Komponiert für eine Sängerin und zwei von ihr zuvor eingesungene Tonbandstimmen, entfaltet Elina Viluma-Hellings Interpretation von Morton Feldmans “Three Voices” in schwebender Dreistimmigkeit eine imitatorische, selbstreflexive Musik voller nuancierter Wiederholungen und gedehnter Zeit. Feldman schrieb das Stück im Angedenken an zwei geliebte Menschen und bezeichnete es selbst als einen „Austausch der lebenden Stimme mit den Toten“. In diesem Sinne bilden die lebensbejahenden, hellen, ebenfalls dreistimmigen Canzonetten von Claudio Monteverdi den ergänzenden Auftakt für das revolutionäre Spätwerk des New Yorker Minimalisten.
In der Podiumsdiskussion sprechen Beat Furrer und Helena Sorokina – beide seit vielen Jahren mit Feldmans Werk vertraut – über ihre persönlichen Erfahrungen mit dieser wunderbaren Musik. taken in Kultum Graz by @elinavilumahelling

This week in Paris.
Went to see Richer exhibition, listened to Mahlers 2nd in Paris Philharmonie, ate some snales and 10 thousand croissants and sang a concert.

You cannot not love this city ❤️
