ECU 2026🇪🇨 There are few moments in life where you can live in another perspective, and there are countless moments to be grateful for because of it. As a lot of you know, I have been beyond excited to travel to Ecuador to dip my toes into pediatric and neurologic physical therapy, and the relationships formed on this trip with all the kiddos will forever hold a big place in my heart! I wanted to briefly share about what this trip meant to me and how to help out this community🤍 11 other DPT students at Northeastern and I just got back from traveling to Ecuador to provide physical therapy and rehabilitation services at two orphanages. We worked with typically and atypically developing children and young adults, opening our eyes to the medical needs in the country. Coming from various personal backgrounds, each child has individual needs to be met, and the two orphanages we worked with display great affection and care for the children, young adults, and all of their needs. We were able to use our knowledge and skills from school to help during the rehabilitation course, but we also saw that there is more help needed, beyond what 12 students in 10 days can do. Thank you @fhcecuador for the incredible experience to work with these children and for welcoming us into your community! Special thank you to Eli for being an incredible host to us ;) I have attached the link in my profile bio to continue fundraising my cost of the trip, but if you or someone you know wants to learn about how to support these kiddos in Ecuador, please don’t hesitate to reach out. And thank you to all of my AWESOME friends who made this trip unforgettable!🤍 by @elisa.keefner
