Curated by the wonderful @brenton_drechsler ‘Urban Families’ brings together a group of artists whose practices all speak to ideas of connection, community, memory and belonging. I’m overjoyed to be included in such a talented line up and can’t wait to see this diverse showcase.

‘through every season’ explores the quiet endurance of platonic love, the intimacy that is found between two people who choose to remain, witness and support each other through the shifting seasons of life. Leaning into one another, the two women embody the reciprocal nature of support, their contrasting posture suggesting that companionship does not require shared circumstances or synchronized growth. The lilies, one bunch in bloom, the other still unfolding, mirror this idea, each existing within its own rhythm but neither diminished by the others pace. Together the figures reflect the tenderness and quiet understanding that often exists between those who choose to stand beside us through life’s successes and adversities. taken in Adelaide, South Australia by @eliseclementsartist
