last Sunday I Ended Homecoming showing up for a cause that means so much to me! I attended the Monster Mile Breast Cancer Awareness Walk for the second time, and in rain, sleet, or snow, I wouldn’t miss it!

This walk is especially sentimental to me because my grandma is a 15+ year breast cancer survivor🩷. Being able to show up, support the cause, and honor survivors like her means more to me than words can explain. Her strength and resilience remind me why raising awareness and continuing to show up matters.

Giving back and supporting causes that hit close to home will always be important to me. So grateful to be able to show up for something bigger than myself! 🎗️ by @eliseeonboard_

Yesterday, we kicked off the 2026–2027 academic year with our first event as Mister and Miss LIFT by discussing Homecoming Safety!💙✨

We had an amazing time putting together Homecoming Safety Kits for our fellow Hornets to help promote safety, preparedness, and looking out for one another during Homecoming. We’re excited to begin this year with a purpose and continue creating opportunities to serve, support, and give back to our campus community.

I’m excited to officially introduce For the Hornets! a student-led initiative I created because I believe that giving back doesn’t always have to be something big, sometimes it starts with simply recognizing what our fellow Hornets need and finding a way to help.

As a student, I know how much a little support can mean. Whether it’s having access to something you need, feeling supported during a difficult semester, or simply knowing that someone in your campus community cares, For the Hornets was created with the purpose of making a difference where it matters most and that’s within our own DSU community.

Starting this October, For the Hornets will be a monthly initiative running through March, with different essentials to give back, support students, and be there for the Hornet community.

I created this initiative because I want to use my platform, my passion for service, and my love for Delaware State to create something that leaves a lasting impact🩵. #statee taken in Delaware State University by @eliseeonboard_

I had the opportunity to participate alongside my Braven Fellows in a project called “The Braven Reunion,” where we reflected on our journey throughout our Braven class and everything we’ve experienced along the way. This is an opportunity I wouldn’t trade for anything!

Through this project, I had the chance to reflect on my class assignments, my growth throughout the course, and my continuing journey with Braven. One of the most meaningful parts of my experience was being able to open up in class about my mother and share why I chose to study Sociology in the first place💞.

Braven has given me more than just professional skills, it has given me a space to grow, reflect, and better understand my purpose. I’m grateful for the lessons, connections, and experiences that continue to shape my journey! by @eliseeonboard_

Today, I had the opportunity to volunteer with Courto Community Service for The Good Samaritan Project Back-to-School Drive!

It was truly a rewarding experience being able to give back to the community and help prepare kids for a successful school year. From distributing bookbags and school supplies to connecting with families and fellow volunteers, today was a beautiful reminder of what can happen when a community comes together with a purpose. 🤍📚

Org Fair ’26 was an absolute success ! ✨

Org Fair is always a great way to start off the school year! It’s an amazing opportunity to connect with others, meet new faces, and engage with fellow and future student leaders across campus.

I am truly honored to represent LIFT as Miss LIFT for the 2026–2027 academic school year and to serve as a Board Senate Intern for the Collegiate 100. Being able to represent the organizations I’m involved in, connect with fellow and future student leaders, and share the opportunities that campus involvement has to offer made this year’s Org Fair one to remember! 🐝

wow.. sophomore year!

you tested me in so many ways I can’t even imagine, ways that challenged my strength, my patience, and my mindset… but through it all, I never turned away. From pouring into my community and staying dedicated to the things that matter to me, to continuing to show up for myself no matter what, I kept pushing forward. This year wasn’t just about overcoming challenges, it was about growth, elevation, and stepping into rooms with confidence. I accomplished so much and stepped into leadership in ways that allowed me to use my voice, make an impact, and stand firm in who I am becoming. Every experience shaped me, every lesson strengthened me, and every moment reminded me why I started. Sophomore year didn’t break me, it built me, and I walked through it with purpose, resilience, and a mindset that refuses to quit.

To Sociology Club : phewww one of my first boards ! It has truly been a pleasure to serve as Miss Sociology this year man, My board was really the best ever & to other miss, I had sooo much fun sharing this role with you I couldn’t of did it any other way !! 🧡💜

To FGS : One of my Favorite Orgsss! Still till this day I’m still in aw that I joined this organization knowing since freshman year I’ve always wanted to be a fairy, my fairy sistersss! yall made everything about fgs more fun, from the service down to the events yall showed me the essence of true sisterhood and im forever greatful 💜🧚🏾‍♀️

To Women’s Senate : My oh My ! Ive grew so much love for this org over these weeks and this was truly another org that shown me true sisterhood ! From being a little sister to being the Vice President Intern I’ll literally never ever stop showing up for Women’s senate ! Thank you Isis for allowing me to work under you! your work never goes unnoticed & to the rest of the board you guys are literally the best 💜!

I had an amazing time hosting our Sociology Club movie night as Miss Sociology for the 2025–2026 academic year, featuring The Pursuit of Happyness. 🎬

It was such a powerful reminder of resilience, determination, and the social barriers people navigate every day. Grateful for the meaningful conversations, shared perspectives, and everyone who came out to engage and reflect. 🤍

Today I had the opportunity to attend the Networking Mixer presented by the DSU Braven team! ✨ It was such a fun experience connecting and networking with representatives from different organizations, DSU alumni, and my Braven Fellows. I loved getting to hear about everyone’s career paths (and sharing mine too!) while also learning more about the amazing organizations they represent. Over the last two days, I had the opportunity to attend the Empower Student Leadership Conference and it was truly such an inspiring experience! I had the chance to network, connect, and meet so many amazing student leaders and speakers, and it really motivated me even more. I also worked alongside an incredible team where we presented ways to make student leadership more accessible and inclusive for ALL students, and we ended up winning! This experience reminded me how powerful collaboration, community, and passion really are. Today, one of my biggest dreams since freshman year came true, I was officially inducted into the Fairy Godsisters of Delaware! Being part of this incredible sisterhood is such an honor, and I’m so excited to continue growing, learning, and supporting one another.
