Introducing the Momentum cohort 2026/27 - Elisha Ricketts - 9/30Elisha Ricketts is a South London based writer, presenter and filmmaker whose work explores storytelling through the lens of identity, healing and lived experience. She wrote, directed, narrated and starred in her debut short film, Survival Mode, a deeply personal project examining trauma, resilience and reclaiming one's narrative.Alongside her filmmaking, Elisha has spent the past three years working with Forbes Family Group as a presenter and creative producer, developing storytelling-led content that elevates founder, charity and community narratives through digital campaigns, interviews and original content series. Her work is rooted in authentic, human-centred storytelling that seeks to connect, inspire and create impact.With a creative foundation in writing and poetry, her most recent writing credits include i-D Magazine. Passionate about meaningful and inclusive storytelling, Elisha is committed to creating work that encourages reflection, sparks conversation and empowers others through the sharing of lived experiences.Each day of June, we'll be introducing a different member of the Momentum 2026/27 cohortGive them a follow, read all about them and get to know more about their work and what they're up to. by @elisha_x

Lately…An absolute pleasure working with @i_d on the launch event for their first Beauty Zine, featuring cover star Tyla. ✍🏽🎤@michelle.hung_ - the real MVP. Incredible team, inspired setting. It gave everything it needed to give! Life may be life-ing… but God is definitely God-ing too.Grateful for this season of pruning—trusting, surrendering, and remembering who’s in control 🙌🏽Also had the chance to attend one of the best interviews I’ve witnessed in a while with Emma Grede, hosted by my fav, Dean Forbes. Emma shared some undeniable gems, what stands out most is how self-assured and authentically herself she is. Still taking this all in… 🎬✨I’m incredibly grateful to have been selected as 1 of 30 filmmakers for the 2026 Momentum Programme by @weareparable supported by @channel4 @channel4skills and @sonypictures from over 750 applicants.Storytelling has always been at the centre of who I am. Since I was a little girl, I’ve been fascinated by the way film and TV can evoke emotion, shift perspective, spark conversation and make people feel seen. Whether through writing, presenting, creative direction or filmmaking, creating emotionally driven stories has always been at the heart of my work.Being recognised for an opportunity like this feels incredibly special, especially at a point where I’m continuing to grow, learn and further develop my voice as a filmmaker and storyteller.I’m so excited for the next 8 months, the mentorship, collaboration, community and the chance to learn from such inspiring creatives.Thank you to the We Are Parable team, Channel 4, Sony Pictures Television and @adidas for supporting this year’s cohort 🤍Excited for what’s to come.#Momentum2026 #Filmmaking #Storytelling #CreativeJourney #weareparable by @elisha_x

2025 has been an incredible year of creativity, calling, and clarity.One of the greatest joys has been producing some projects, shaping stories, directing the narrative, and finding purpose not just in front of the camera, but behind it too.What started as presenting has grown into a deep love for creative direction and storytelling over the last few years! Had the most amazing Birthday 🎈in Iceland!! 🇮🇸 ❄️Highly recommended Reykjavík for a solo trip! ✌🏽Brought in the big day under the Northern lights ❇️ followed by a spa morning at the hotel @editionreykjavik 🫶🏽 then headed to @skylagooniceland for an incredible afternoon!
