Happy 5th birthday to the girl who made my world so much brighter✨ I love you more than words could ever hold.

This year, I watched you grow in a thousand little ways — becoming more independent, more curious, more opinionated, more hilarious, more SPARKLY and more YOU. I watched your little personality get bigger, your confidence grow, and glimpses of the amazing girl you are shine through more and more each day.

There is such a bittersweetness in watching you grow. I’m so proud of the little girl you are becoming, but if I could freeze time every now and then, I would. I already miss versions of you that I didn’t realize I was saying goodbye to. And yet, I wouldn’t trade the privilege of watching you blossom for anything in the world.

You never really get over losing your mom. It will be five years this month and if anything it’s just getting harder. Harder to raise my kids without her, harder watching every milestone pass by without her, harder to pass each day without talking to her… I love that her legacy lives on and that my daughter carry’s her name in hers♥️ by @elishagil_
