The outdoors helped heal me from burnout.
The forest taught me to be still. To just be. To breathe long and deep and let everything go. I was able to witness my feelings in a peaceful space and work through them. To uncover what I truly want and need away from the push and pull of our daily responsibilities.
To rediscover who I really am.

The outdoors possesses a special magic that you won’t find anywhere else. If you’re feeling lost, you just may find yourself out in the forest. 💚

Grief for me is feeling all the feelings, all at once.
Sadness that my mom is no longer here on this earth is countered by a happiness that her suffering is over and she can rest. Her beautiful soul deserves it.
She loved this earth and I will no longer take it for granted that I get to explore and experience it.
I feel her with me everywhere I go now. She can come on adventures with me that she couldn’t while in her physical body.
Nature was the place she went to calm her mind and I am grateful she passed that on to me.
The cure truly is outdoors.

Appreciation Post
To the unsung hero of the last few terrible months.
The one who cared for the caregivers.
The one who quietly watched, noticed what we needed, and delivered it without us even having to ask.
The one who put all of his needs aside to focus on what would be best for mom.
The one who made sure we all ate, took time for ourselves, and provided a solid shelter to weather the storm in.
It wasn’t easy. There was tension and disagreement but most of all there was an abundance of love helping us through the worst time of our lives.

I’m so proud of all Caroline has overcome these last few years to get here. Her bright light refuses to dim and she brings joy to all of those around her.
