Sometimes being a great dad has nothing to do with spending money.

No big trips.
No fancy plans.
No expensive toys.

Just sitting by the water, throwing rocks, talking about nothing, and being together.

The older I get, the more I realize my kid doesn’t need perfection.

She just needs me.

Present. Available. There.

One day she won’t ask me to sit by the lake with her anymore.

So until then, I’ll keep showing up.
