GLTC was absolutely wild to be in. Competition wise it was a plastic knife to a Gun Fight. The prep these guys made is no joke. The cars look absolutely amazing out and in. Since the BMW is a Spec Car I knew I was at a disadvantage but the lack of aero was so prevalent on track compared to everyone else I couldn’t get enough grip while watching other tackle corners aggressively with the right front lip and wing combination. Do I want to build a GLTC car? Maybe, but I gotta sell a few cars before I even entertain the thought.

After months in permits, concrete, inspections and assembly the building is finally done…

This project was most of my year, I learned a great deal and expensive lessons… but I now have my own little slice of heaven to work from. Still more to do in the inside but at least I can utilize the building.

For those curious on the process and lessons learned I did an episode number 196 with @theblindapexpodcast a few weeks ago. If wanting to do this I highly recommend listening to the podcast. There is. Lot to cover especially if construction isn’t your strong suit.

Getting the Grill cleaned up and ready for #gridlife and decided to add a second flattop to it for better cooking efficiency on track. Learned from the first time, used CAD to get the exact measurements and added a little touch of enthusiasm as I’m looking forward to this event.

Working with @kdmtuners this year at @gridlifeofficial Laguna festival… not only will I be cooking up a storm for friends, sponsors, partners and teammates but il be cooking on track as well in GLTC. Looking forward to seeing everyone there.

Got a few pics from my last event with #sccatracknightinamerica at Portland. SE46 handled great after being lower by an inch and adjust the rake.

Car does look a lot better with all panels fully painted and refreshed. After looking at some pics I may be too aggressive on the camber, suggesting I’m only using 1/3 of the contact patch…

Lots fun cars including some vintage Porsches. Il add video later…

Main highlight is I’ve cut enough weight where the suit fits really good….

Morning Side side quest before getting back to work.

Got to see the new NASA NW at Portland. Nice cars, good people, great weather.

The Spec E46 has officially passed Race tech and got the annual for the year along with the NASA log book to accompany the SCCA log book.

Really wanted to drive but I got a lot of work to finish at home. The Beemer does look good fully painted now.

Busy week for the SpecE46, started paint prep for the car to have all color matching parts, prepped it Monday and put it back together Tuesday for a Dyno run on Wednesday then quickly tore it apart and did final prep and painted Wednesday. Now it’s all back together and looking better than ever. Hp wise the car did a healthy 187 so I won’t complain it runs and it’s legal for SE46.

Paint wise went single stage, autobody grade can primer and for the fresh bumper adhesion promoter since it’s a fresh bumper. Color to match but came out a tint darker and more metallic than the faded old paint. No complaints it’s a racecar and the quality was good.

With all the major work done, I can finally post it for sale so I can do this al over again….

Fun track day yesterday, few cars, lots of room, and great communication and etiquette from fellow drivers and staff.

Going over data and reviewing my driving, More details later... Went full suit after playing with fuel pumps, it was a warm day no sense making it hotter...

Emergency Quest for the day: Save Bird

Injured crow (thought it was a raven) 🐦‍⬛ appeared in my lawn. Didn’t want to fly, so I could tell it was banged up.

Like a pokemon captured it, put in a box and made an hour trip to my nearest bird rescue.

Bird confirmed injured, staff was great and got a donation from me to help cover Mr. Poe (still thought it was a raven) medical costs…

My good deed for the day, because that’s what Captain Planet 🌎 would have wanted.

Big thank you to @birdallianceoforegon for making the process simple, and possible. Great people, Beutiful facility and great communication. I couldn’t have asked for more for the winged friend.
