From ancient manuscripts to vibrant performances! 📜✨

Delegates spent their morning diving into history at the Lalbhai Dalpatbhai Museum with Director Sujata Parsai, studying ancient sculptures, bronze idols and rare miniatures inside the famous Balkrishna Doshi complex.

Later, the evening turned into a lively celebration with folk dance, music, and a heritage fashion show by GLS Faculty of Performing Arts students. Special thanks to our honorable guests - Shri Jitendra Kharchariya and Smt. Rekha ben Desai from AMC, Mr. Madhish Parikh Founder and President of Elixir Foundation and Dr. Avni Shah Dean at Gls Faculty of Performing Arts at GLS University - for joining us and supporting our young delegates!

On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, our WHV delegates explored Ahmedabad’s Gandhian heritage and its significant role in India’s freedom movement.

They visited institutions closely associated with Mahatma Gandhi, including Sabarmati Ashram and Navjeevan Trust, gaining insights into his philosophy, ideals, and enduring legacy in Ahmedabad.

Through the experience of spinning the charkha, the delegates connected with the age-old practice of self-reliance while discovering its meditative dimension—a simple act that offered a deeper understanding of Gandhian thought.

A day of learning, reflection, and experiencing the Gandhian way of life.

Conservation isn't just about looking at heritage—it's about understanding how to preserve it. Our delegates spent an insightful session with the Ahmedabad World Heritage City Trust exploring stepwell architecture and urban heritage management on-site.

The day continued at Ahmedabad University with a hands-on Material Conservation Workshop, where delegates examined historical building materials and stone decay up close.

Celebrating the living crafts and artistic traditions of Gujarat. 🎨

Today, our WHV delegates explored the serene Kasturbhai Lalbhai Museum complex, taking in centuries of Indian art before visiting the stunning Indigo Museum to appreciate the heritage of natural dyes and textile craft.

We capped off the day with a hands-on Mata ni Pachedi workshop, where delegates learned the history and traditional painting methods of this iconic sacred textile art directly from artisan practitioners.
