Dear Soccer,

As our time unfortunately comes to an unexpected end in the midseason, it’s time to say our final goodbyes a lot earlier than I expected. Thank you for teaching me what it means to be a teammate, player, friend, coach, competitor, and athlete. I will never forget early 3 a day practices, fitness tests, snowy games, long car rides with dad, and the feeling of playing under those stadium lights. As I once complained about those days, I now wish for just one more.
Although our time has been cut short this is not a goodbye. Instead a hello to a new part of our story. I can’t wait to pass down the love I share for you with the next generation of wide eyed little girls with big dreams as I once was.

With all the love in my heart
