~ after this sail, we definitely became much closer @mica.cyprus @cisc.com.cy
when the yacht heeled over to nearly 25°, the adrenaline was unreal😵

a few bruises, a sea of unforgettable memories… I walked back on land feeling exactly like Captain Jack Sparrow… yeah, and my walk looked pretty much the same too - confidently zigzagging all the way to the party😂🏴‍☠️

~ and to top it all off… we finished in 2nd place! 🥈

~ these few days flew by so fast... the sweetest part? some people at the hotel thought we weren’t a movie camp at all - they thought we were one big family. and honestly… that’s exactly how it felt.

~ And just like that, our first film camp has come to an end! We made a movie in just 4 days, and at the same time we managed to have fun, make new friends, learn something new, and collect a bunch of behind-the-scenes stories.

Фестиваль Cult Experiences @cult_experiences объединил таланты из 64 стран, но сердца зрителей покорили наши локальные герои! 🌟

В этом выпуске:
✨ Пообщались с Элизой Мессн @elizamesnn — режиссером и сценаристом захватывающего фильма «Убийство Золушки». Она поделилась, каково это — работать с юными актёрами и представлять свою работу на международной арене.

✨ Познакомились с Катериной Канатовой @katrina_kana , основательницей журнала Brollywood Cyprus @brollywood_magazine редиссером и продюсером фильма. Катерина не только продвигает культуру на острове, но и доказывает, что мечты о кино достижимы!

The Cult Experiences Festival @cult_experiences brought together talent from 64 countries, but it was our local heroes who won the hearts of the audience! 🌟

~ why can’t a female director be feminine?🌸
~ for women in filmmaking - just like in many professions traditionally seen as male - there is often an unspoken expectation to give up femininity in order to earn respect and authority in the field.
~ if you want to be a successful director, you are told to be “more practical”: not “too sensitive,” not too concerned with your appearance - because there is this fear that if you are soft and feminine, you won’t be taken seriously
~ but the paradox is that the very qualities people try to push out of us are the ones that make me strong and distinctive as a director: empathy, attentiveness, emotional intuition, the ability to truly feel and understand people
~ perhaps the real problem is that the industry still tends to associate authority with masculinity, but no one should have to give up their nature just to prove their worth

~ почему девушка-режиссер не имеет права быть женственной?🌷
девушкам-киноделам, как и на многих других исконно привычных мужских профессиях, часто негласно предлагается отказаться от женственности, чтобы занять достойное место в сфере и стать там авторитетной. ~ если ты хочешь быть успешным режиссером ты должна быть «практичнее»: не быть «слишком чувствительной», не особо следить за своей внешностью; потому что есть страх: если ты мягкая и женственная - тебя не будут воспринимать всерьёз
~ но парадокс в том, что именно те качества, которые пытаются из нас выдавить, и делают меня, как режиссёра, сильной и исключительной: эмпатия, наблюдательность, эмоциональная интуиция, способность чувствовать людей. ~ возможно, проолема в том, что индустрия до сих пор считает авторитет мужским качеством, но никто не должен отказываться от своей природы ради того, чтобы кому-то что-то доказывать🌸 taken in Cyprus,Paralimni by @elizamesnn

~ yesterday was the premiere of my first immersive theatre performance - Midnight in London 🇬🇧
it was a true experiment, where in some scenes the audience stepped inside the action and became part of the performance.
…and it worked beautifully ✨ so proud of each and every one of our actors!

это был настоящий эксперимент, где в некоторых сценах зрители оказались внутри действия и стали участниками общего перформанса.
