We could not be more excited or proud to celebrate Eliza Swords and the world she is bringing to life through Swords Stables.

Eliza is ORA family. She has journeyed with us through The Celestial Journey, You Are Golden, our Ojai Valley Founding Members Retreat, ORA Realized, and ultimately ORA Curated — our intimate one-on-one mentorship space.

When she entered ORA Curated, the dream was still unnamed. She could feel something stirring, but she didn’t yet know what shape it wanted to take.

And then, together, we began listening.

What has emerged is unmistakably Eliza: alive, intelligent, funny, mythic, generous, and completely irresistible.

Swords Stables brings ancient mythology roaring into the present through Open Myth Nights, writing retreats, storytelling, and creative gatherings — inviting people into myth not as something distant or academic, but as something living, human, and deeply relevant to the lives we are living now. All while having a mighty good time.

I almost can’t believe it’s been six weeks since the magic of our first Open Myth Night. So much has unfolded since and I cannot stop thinking about what happened in that room.

We took a story nearly 3,000 years old, told it together, laughed a lot, got curious, got a little weird, and discovered just how deeply alive these ancient stories still are when we step inside them together.

It is such a gift to get to work with myth this way. To play with these stories, ask questions of them, let them ask questions of us, and bring them alive between us. Huge thanks to every single person who came and made a little magic with us that night. You made it what it was. ❤️

And we’re just getting started. 🎠

I love these stories. The beauty, the horror, the contradictions, all of it.

Sometimes it’s: how extraordinary, Daphne became a tree.

And sometimes it’s: Jesus fucking Christ, Daphne had to become a tree.

Both are in there. Both are true. And both leave me in awe. 🌳

When I say that @titaniquemusical saves my life daily, it’s an understatement. From the first time the day after my fathers memorial (last slide), to what certainly won’t be the last (closing tonight), from the Daryl Roth theater to Broadway, from fan to friend to tistanique family, this show and these people are miracles.

To everyone who’s ever been involved in the magic that is the most joy filled, fantastic 90 minutes on Broadway you will ever see, thank you. The amount of lives you’ve touched and made better is impossible to measure. I cannot wait to see what’s next for this scrappy ship of dreams that not only could, but did.

Congratulations to @tyeblue1 , @marlamindelle, @constantinerousouli and the entire titanique family (those who I’ve been lucky enough to enjoy tagged here.) And thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you. For you, for this show, my heart will indeed go on, forever and ever and ever.

I haven’t been able to stop thinking about Philomela in relation to what’s been coming out around Cornell.

I made a longer video about feminine rage, mythology, power, and why I keep going back to these ancient stories when I don’t know what the hell to do with the world.

Philomela says she’ll tell people what was done to her, so Tereus cuts out her tongue.

The violence isn’t only I can do this to your body. It’s I can control the story afterward. I can make sure nobody hears you.

Except Philomela finds another language.

She weaves the story.

You took my voice? I will make one.
2,000 years later, that’s the part I can’t stop thinking about.

I was absolutely NOT prepared for Sunny Sandler’s movie Don’t Say Good Luck to make me fucking weep.

But it did. And afterwards I felt… great!

This got me thinking about catharsis, Demeter and Persephone, and why sometimes a story can hold feelings for us that we don’t quite know what to do with ourselves.

Stories open the pipes.
