Vancouver friends! The Summer seems to have graced us early, the Canucks are in the midst of a serious playoff run, there’s a long weekend on the horizon and a rarefied spirit of camaraderie and civic pride in the air... what better occasion to share my latest and greatest homage to our beloved Vancity? This little beauty represents 15 years of core memories from a life well-lived as an adoptive Vancouverite, distilled into the single highest concentrated dose of eye candy that my mouse hand could muster. Stickers, tote bags, and tees are all available right now at @makevancouver and @makegastown , so get yourselves down there and pick up some fresh Vancity swag for the Summer!

Hey all, I’m excited to be taking part in the @kitsbeachcoffee Makers Market this coming Sunday, July 30, from 10 am to 4 pm! If you missed me at Khatsahlano, or are just interested in a chiller indie shopping experience where you can grab a coffee and have a friendly chat with the makers, this is the perfect excuse to come spend an afternoon in Vancouver’s best neighbourhood! Come say hi and pick up a sticker or three! Hope to see you there ✌️

New sticker drop, just in time for @khatsahlano next weekend! My photos don't really do 'em justice, but the colours are so splendorous on these that they're virtually glowing -- they're like a perfect three-inch distillation of the countless Summer sunsets I've been lucky enough to enjoy from the Kits Beach dog park over the years 😎🌈 They're also the first of many new offerings I'll be launching over the coming weeks as the Summer festival season starts to heat up. Looking forward to sharing more with you soon!

New poster drop! May I present to you my lush and loving tribute to one of my all-time favourite games, the one and only Stardew Valley! Yes, it’s true, I could rave about Stardew all day long (as my friends can surely attest), but suffice it to say I think it’s a near-perfect game, and certainly as close as any one person could hope to get for their self-developed debut. From its addictive and ever-expanding core gameplay loop to its wonderfully expressive pixel art and sublime soundtrack – which, as far as I’m concerned, stands toe-to-toe with anything the legendary composers of the 16-bit era ever produced – Stardew Valley is truly a masterpiece of interdisciplinary design. This poster is my way of paying my respects to Eric Barone (aka ConcernedApe) for having the courage and tenacity to follow through on his creative vision, producing a timeless work of art that continues to bring joy to millions of people all around the world. Prints are available now on my Etsy shop! Now, if you’ll excuse me, the crops and animals at Cascadia Farm aren’t going to tend to themselves… 😉🌱🐓🐄🐑☀️🌈

Dearest Sophie, thank you for giving us 20 wonderful years of endless love, companionship, joy, and laughter. That your prodigiously long life was among the least remarkable things about you speaks to just how magnificent a being you really were. Much like your adoptive mom, you were somehow otherworldly, angelic even; a brilliant and beautiful little beam of light whose mere presence could illuminate even the darkest of days. Oh, to hear the sweet music of your little voice again! To invite you into my lap and let your purity of presence carry all the weight of the world off to some faraway place… what a gift, to have spent half of my life in your wonderful healing glow! I’m so very grateful for it all.

I don’t pretend to know what awaits me at the end of this little temporal detour we call life, but I hope to be with you again on the other side, whatever that may look like. Until then, enjoy your well-deserved rest -- basking full-bellied in the universe’s widest, warmest sunbeam, no doubt -- and I will endeavour to carry you with me wherever I go.

All of my love,

Your adoring Papa 😽💔 by @elkhemist

Capitalism is a Death Cult 🔪💰💀 Rated R (18+): Contains scenes of extreme injustice and exploitation which may lead to insubordinate behaviour and/or deep existential dread. Viewer discretion is strongly advised! 🙃🎃

Vancouver friends! Come and join me this SATURDAY, July 9, for the triumphant return of the one-and-only Khatsahlano Steet Party along West 4th Avenue! I'll be setting up shop between Vine and Balsam Streets with a full spectrum offering of posters, stickers, t-shirts, tote bags, and other graphic nonsense -- by far my biggest showing yet! This'll be my first public pop-up in about three years, and I'm so excited to see all of your beautiful faces! Hope to see you there 😘✌️❤️

The fine print 👀 With its institutions failing, what seems like half the population living in a conspiracy-laden false reality, and the all-consuming machinery of hegemonic capitalism grinding ever-onward, little else now remains of the mythological “shining city on a hill” but a smoldering ruin. Good luck, America - if the smoke signals being sent up by your fatally compromised “Supreme Court” are any indication, you are in for a very, very rough ride. But hey, happy Fourth of July, or whatever! 🍻🥳🇺🇲
