last night my papa passed in his sleep after fighting bladder cancer for the past two years. i would not be who i am today without his presence in my life and im so blessed to call him my grandpa. one of the most difficult moments was watching the effects of cancer on him mentally and physically. it’s hard to think that less than a year ago we were at the gym and it’s appalling how fast the cancer grew. although this is very sad it’s also a celebration of his life. i am so grateful to have some of my earliest memories with him like learning how to swim and opening presents on christmas. his support for me and my brothers throughout our lives has been unmatched and i am immensely thankful and proud to call him my pops. i will always cherish the last hug he gave me and his role in my life. the Lord had a plan for him even though it would cause grief and sadness, ultimately it is good and He is good. the past few months were very challenging for him and our family so i sent him this song. he loved it. now it will forever remind me of my papa and the Lords steadfast love and strength. i appreciate all the support and prayers for my mom, grandma, and family through this 🤍 by @ellaa.presley
