With it being national suicide prevention month, I felt I needed to talk about mental illness and suicide. It can be difficult subject to talk about. For the past 3+ years, I’ve struggled with depression and anxiety. The highs are high and the lows are very low. Some days I felt as though I shouldn’t be here. But thanks to some very important people in my life, I’m still here today. Do something to make yourself, a friend, or even a stranger feel better. You never know what someone is going through behind closed doors. You never know what someone may be struggling with. Check in on your friends and loved ones. The ones who need to talk the most are sometimes those who don’t look it. Talk to someone. You are so loved. You are not alone. If you see this and you need a sign to stay, this is it.
