The DR truly hold such a special place in my heart. It is hard to put into words what the past 3 summers have shown me about the Lord and his goodness. God is working throughout the entire country. This week I watched so many children and teens give their life to Christ!!!! Praise God!!! I got to see the gospel in a whole new perspective. We got to serve the city of La Vega and the community of Las Lagunas de Guaco. We got to show kids the true joy found in the Lord!

I got to meditate on Psalm 27:13-14 this past year, which says “I believe that I shall look upon the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living! Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!” The Lord is so good, He is changing and moving so many life's and there is so so so much power and goodness in that!!! I got to watch my peers grow closer to the Lord and grow more fond of Him over the course of the week. I grew closer to Him with seeing how much He is moving.

I have left the DR with a heart so full of gratitude for all that the Lord has done and continues to do. I am so thankful for every person, every conversation, and every moment that pointed me back to His goodness. The Lord is moving in the DR, and I cannot wait to see how He continues to work!!! taken in Jarabacoa, Republica Dominicana by @ellaclaire.bennett
