“Hold your loved ones tight”—a quote said by many, but not completely understood by some.

I completely understand it now.

These past two weeks, Heaven has gained two of the most precious and loving angels.

Buckner Anderson, my cousin, but more like the brother I never had. He was someone to look up to no matter the circumstances. Whether it was watching and learning from his growing faith in the Lord or wanting to know a little something about his golf skills, he was always someone I could turn to. I could sit and rant to him about boy problems or friendship problems, and he always knew exactly what to say. He’d even offer to go fix the problem himself by setting them straight.

He never met a stranger and would never let anyone feel out of place. He wasn’t loud or attention-driven, but you never went long without receiving a hug, a handshake, or a little nudge from him just to let you know that he was there and that he saw you. Buckner was one of the most genuine and kind guys I’ve ever known.

He loved winning at all kinds of things, especially his races, and today, he’s won. He’s forever in first place in our hearts and prayers. He has finished his race.

I love you forever and always, Buck. 🤍

Last Saturday, we laid my great-grandpa to rest, Paw Paw Gerald. He was the glue that held our whole family together and kept us giggling at family dinners, even when we’d had bad days.

He was always quick to let you know what he was thinking, even if it meant hurting your feelings a little bit. He loved to pick and poke at you just because. He was one of the most important people in my life.

He always knew if someone was no good for you, and he was always right. He always made us laugh at the most random things when no one was expecting it.

He will forever be missed. We love you forever, Paw Paw. 🤍

Two incredible men, two beautiful lives, and two people who will forever hold a special place in our hearts. Until we meet again. 🤍 by @ellamount08
