If your life were a song right now... what would it sound like?

I’ve been sitting with this question for a while. Some seasons feel like the opening thirty seconds — unclear, maybe even a little disappointing if you judged it too soon. But nothing about a song is random. The tempo, the pause, the note you didn’t see coming — it’s all intentional.

Made me wonder if the same is true for the life we’re actually living.

Still learning to trust the One holding the pen. Maybe you are too.

When we say we’re in a relationship with someone, we spend time with them because we love them and genuinely enjoy their company. We want to tell them about everything. The random things that happened during the day, the exciting moments, the frustrating ones, the things that made us laugh, and even the things we don’t quite know how to put into words.

Then I thought...

Sometimes we forget that the God we serve, the God we call our Saviour, is also a relational God.

I think sometimes we reduce our relationship with Him to reading our Bible, praying, going to church, serving... almost like we’re trying to tick off a checklist for the day.

But what if He simply wants to spend time with us?

To hear about your day.
To hear how you’re feeling.
To hear what made you smile.
To hear what made you cry.
To hear the little thoughts that cross your mind.

Not because He doesn’t know them already, but because relationships are built in communion.

I don’t think God is looking for perfect conversations with us. I think He simply wants us.

Just a little thought I had today.

That day was so bad, I couldn’t even cry, I looked left, right, middle, and even centre — trying to understand why I was going through so much.

Because back then, I believed something I didn’t even realize I believed: that if you’re in Christ, you shouldn’t have to go through the hard parts of life.

But Isaiah 40 says something that changed how I saw it — even the youth grow weary and faint. But those who wait on the Lord will renew their strength. And when we move, we’re not moving in our own strength anymore!!We’re moving in His.

Even in the middle of the storm, our guarantee was never that we’d avoid it. Our guarantee is that we have someone who can help us navigate through it.

And remember — in every situation, good or bad, all things work together for those who are in Christ Jesus.

1000s of reasons why my phone storage is full!! 😩

As a creative, i can get inspiration anytime, any day, anywhere, so i have to document everything, even when i don’t need it right now, i know one day i will.

Swipe, this is basically a diary at this point 👀

Unedited videos → still sitting in my phone since who knows when, editing them is a whole personality trait i’m working on.

Random B-rolls → shot ‘just in case,’ used maybe never, deleted absolutely not.

Random pictures → no context, no memory of taking it, still won’t delete it.

Graphic inspo → saved because one day this energy is going into a design and i need it right here when it does.

Design inspo → i see it, i save it, i study it — that’s the process.

Sound inspiration → a sound will live in my head for weeks before it ever makes it into a post.

Colour contrasts → random colours i saw somewhere and now can’t stop thinking about.

Many reminders → notes to self that only make sense to me, and honestly that’s fine.

Foooood → unrelated to content but very relevant to my survival.

Many mirror selfies → the real behind-the-scenes nobody asked to see 😭

The price of paying the cost 📌

Not everything in life is free, even the things that look like they fell in your lap took something from someone, somewhere. Salvation was the one truly free gift and even that cost Jesus everything.

So when it comes to your dream, the one God dropped in your spirit like a seed in a womb — don’t be shocked that it’s asking something of you. that’s not a sign you missed God, that’s just how it works.

I used to think the price was discipline, consistency, showing up everyday, and yes those things matter but i stopped myself mid thought because that’s not the real cost.

The real price is not giving up. staying put when the storm feels like it’s about to take you out. that’s it, that’s the whole cost.
Why do we even pay? because what’s handed to you freely, you’ll misuse, you won’t guard it, you won’t fight for it, but what you’ve bled for? you protect that with your whole life.

So if it’s tarrying — keep going, one day is tomorrow, and if nothing happens tomorrow, there’s another day after that. it WILL happen.

What you pay in private, He rewards in public, every tear, every price paid where nobody saw, Heaven kept record. nothing is wasted.

Entry 002 - Am I a dreamer?

As a child I would dream about my future, I would say so many things of who I will be and what I will be doing. Those dreams were snatched away the moment my attention was captured by the devil. I allowed the repeated cycle of “this is impossible” play over and over in my head.

I allowed the voice of lies, shame and accusation become a reality that was never mine, but thanks be to God, the Father of my Lord Jesus Christ, who causes me to triumph always in Christ Jesus.

In this world we fight not against flesh but against warfare, it’s not a coincidence that all of a sudden you stopped dreaming, it’s not all of a sudden that you have no passion.

Dreams do come to pass, the question now is: are you going to allow the dreams God put in your heart to come alive?

We were handed a blank check once.

Unlimited dreams, no limits, no bills, then life came dancing 💃🏾

Job 14:7 has been living rent free in my spirit lately;a tree cut down will sprout again, at the scent of water, it will flourish, God restores sight.

What looks finished is sometimes just waiting for the right season.

So i’m starting July with this question: am i just a dreamer?

Psalm 34:1-4

On Sunday @cci_hamilton my Pastor @rotimiokungbaye talked about fervour in thanksgiving, giving thanks in every circumstance that we are in. He said that our thanksgiving should be our adoration of who God is, His attributes and nature.

Today I choose to thank God, because He is a Good Father.

The concept of two becoming one is something i find so fascinating.

In math, 1+1=2. but in God’s kingdom, 1+1=1 🤍
Genesis 2:24 says the two shall become one flesh, and marriage in the church is exactly that — a house the Lord Himself has to build, or it’s labor in vain (psalm 127:1) Rooted in the same love that gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes would not perish but have everlasting life (john 3:16)

Marrying the one you love,the one you let God choose with you — that’s what fulfills the concept of one.
My friend got married to her one 🥳🥳🥳👰🏽‍♀️

El Roi: the God who sees 📌

The name was first introduced by an Egyptian slave who served in the house of Abraham and Sarah. Long story short, she fled into the wilderness, afraid for her life, but the God who sees, saw her. She named her experience and acknowledged God — Genesis 16:13.

Sometimes it’s easy to forget that we have a God who sees us, especially when life is lifing, when nothing is making sense. It feels like there’s no one, but God sees. He said it in His word that His eyes are like an eagle watching over her child. He said it in His word that He will never leave you nor forsake you.

God reminded me this morning in my quiet time, and I felt led to remind you also: He sees you, and He is holding you.

Even though you don’t feel it, He’s with you.
