In one of the previous "best in Stanislaus" feature stories, I said the owners of the winning establishments often are why readers say they love the businesses. As the series comes to a close, that statement stands.
Ella Rose Shop, a handcrafted jewelry business, was voted Stanislaus County's best home business with 6,535 of 12,580 total votes. Flourish Bread Co. took second with 4,391 votes.
The shop is "one of a kind, just like the business owner," Jessica Hamilton wrote when she nominated Ella Rose!

Our first day back on doing events by myself. After 7 weeks.. ✨✨✨ the support was unreal tonight✨✨I’m very thankful 😌. But I will say my body was not ready to be standing for that long. I will be resting again until DoMo. I will make sure I have a worker. I’m not ready at all sorry 🥹 sorry doing the charms was a little tough for me tonight so I had to stop on the 2nd necklace.

✨✨✨ yes I rested and I was in bed rest for almost 21 days and I ate and drank tons of healthy stuff.. but I’m still not ready. So if you see me sitting down 🥴🥴 ( I hate sitting down) you know why now.. by @ellaroseshop__

I'm super excited to tell you about a very special event that I'm organizing together with my friends from @rdb.riverbank. We will organize our fundraising night "Witches Ladies Night Out". I've been dreaming about doing this event for four years and it will finally come true!

All profits will go to support Winter Smiles (Winter Community Wardrobe) 2026. @rdb.riverbank is an incredible non-profit organization in Riverbank that helps families in our community who need it. Every year they make sure that children and families have coats, and hats to keep warm during the winter months.

The theme of the night will be "Witches". You can come dressed as your favorite witch or just put on your favorite witch hat.

Tickets cost $25 per person and include 1 DRINK and all money raised will go directly to Winter Smiles (Winter Community Wardrobe) 2026.

We found the perfect place in Paloma's, in the center of Modesto, and we are super grateful that they have opened their doors to us to make this event possible. Paloma's will also be having appetizers and small food menu.

I hope you can join us in our first "Witches Ladies Night Out" and enjoy a special night while supporting this great cause!
