It is with a heavy heart that l’ve made the decision to find my beloved best friend, Louie, a new home. He’s a very special, highly intelligent guy with some quirks that make total sense to me. I’ve never had such a strong connection with any living thing.
It’s been hard enough for us both the last few years and I’m now making some life changes that will make it impossible for me to take care of him let alone make sure he’s living his best life. Finding him the right home will be better for both of us, so l’ve made my decision.
If you or anyone you know would be interested in including this royal feline into your life please let me know and I can provide more detail. taken in Brooklyn, New York by @ellas_tierney

One day on a tugboat I rewrote the old Irish folk song I'm a man you don't meet every day which dates back to at least the 1880's. the original author is unknown, but many have done their own version of it including the Dubliners, the Pogues and more recently Fontaines D.C.

Rather than singing about the fictional character Jock Stewart I wrote it about myself, making it even more pompous than the sarcastic original.

The photo was taken in 2015 by @danielpetershaffer of me in front of the Irish pub called the Dandy Inn which was a huge part of my childhood. The pub also dates back to the 1880's, maybe the original was written there across the pond- probably not. It was torn down shortly after the photo was taken to widen the highway and build more strip malls.

My cover of Lee Hazlewood's "In Our Time" off his 1967 album "Lee Hazlewoodism: It's Cause and Cure" Featuring Angel Corpus Christi on accordion and sharing the lead vocals with me on all verses except for the 1st. He and/or MGM was/were going for a west coast 12 string electric Byrds type thing, but came off as a tad corny to me.. so I wanted to make a ballsier version with updated lyrics.

The paintings I used in the cover art were done by Wefail and of course that's our man Lee in the middle, cropped out of the cover of Hazlewoodism and superimposed in the digital collage.

Hold your phone sideways to see the cover art as intended.

Written and recorded in one night, February 2021. Was only intended to be a first test recording for my tiny home studio in Brooklyn. It was abandoned as I didn't like the vocals and thought the lyrics were filler, listening back almost 5 years later and I think its one of the best songs I've ever done. Just because it comes right off the top of your head doesn't mean it's filler, in fact I feel the opposite, the less I have to think about it the more I like it. Intuition is of higher intelligence than brain power, you are not a brain, your brain is a tool of yours.
