Something clicked with this one...

My first ever OC to be posted, and actually one that I share with my friend 🧡 trust that A LOT of thought has gone into her backstory - even though she has no name yet.

This may be a bigger caption than usual so buckle up. My girl lives in the 1830s, though her clothes are a little outdated as she inherited them from her mother who died under mysterious circumstances 👀 Her father was pretty lenient with how much freedom she could have, but after she finds herself disowned and on the streets, she quickly realises that her past experiences (from a viewpoint of wealth and comfort) are nothing like the inescapable reality of poverty. Despite this, she cannot put her snobbish pride aside, and continues to stagger through hellish disease, starvation and mistreatment with the same sense of ignorant separation to the needy and disadvantaged, refusing to accept that these people are her new family. Safe to say this attitude will not serve her well in circumstances so dire.

If you read all of this thank you so much 🌟🌟 and hopefully I'll be able to share more of this story soon :)

Dead horse still beating....or you can't beat a dead horse or whatever

Of course take this however you want but I think it represents the helplessness of not being able to let go, and also just a funky play on the phrase "you can't beat a dead horse"

Hope you like 💙
