I’m late, but I’m fashionably late in posting last year’s birthday photos! In a few hours, I’ll be halfway to 70!

I struggle trying to post my birthday photos on time, NGL life is tough. To those who happened to have a special preview of these photos in my workshops the past year/ months, know the love, time and effort I put into crafting these photos. Every year, I walk with faith into the unknown and work on a different version of myself, putting in the work to manifest and reach new levels in life. Everything comes with an inherent sacrifice to it.

I’m absolutely grateful to every single person who I’ve crossed paths with and have contributed to my life. So if you see me energetic one day and unresponsive the next, go easy on me.. I’m currently a “progmess” and I strive to continuously reinvent and better myself every year.

This marks the end of “Trienta y Cuatro”. Hello late 30’s.

Three days ago I turned a mere Three of Thirty, and that made me realize if there’s anything I’d wish for anyone’s birthday before or after mines is to have a kinder stress-free year.

A year ago I promised myself to accomplish 32 skillsets, in which I did. This year round, I've decided to focus on doing 33 (and more) good things for myself.

Special thanks to @wabudhabi for gifting the “fantastic” pet- friendly suite and the little perks and quirks they managed to surprise me with. From the greetings on the mirror to the eccentric tea cups. 😂

Celebrating a year anniversary of my #Corona birthday with a #Bauhaus touch to it #pantone2021 💛🖤

I’ve made it a thing wherein I turn another year, I learn a new skill set. I know my #yellow collage is missing a few things but each should represent a skill I've learnt growing up- 32 years, 32 skills or goals.

I'm nowhere near my potential, I'm fully aware of that. So I've made ME my focus and priority. If you add to my life, yallah you're welcome to stay.

I’ve read somewhere the more you chase yourself (your goals, ambitions, potential, security, happiness) the more others and opportunities will chase you. Double tap if you hear me or.. if you've been waiting for my mandatory #selfportrait #birthday post. 😂😂😂😂

I’m hosting a beginner-friendly hybrid content workshop that gently introduces you to creating photos and videos together in one session. We’ll focus on simple posing, building confidence on and behind camera, and capturing intentional content without overthinking.

Introducing @pro_beautygcc Makeup Artist of the Year 2021 and 2020 in one happy photo. Finally I can wish you a hearty congratulations @letsmakeupwithanna for bagging this year’s #MUA title. So happy for you.. Guess 4th time’s a charm?

A little backstory.. we both joined a competition, and out of 65 talented MUAs, three other amazing artists made it to the final apart from us- @rafcastrohair, Kristina, @katrinamuabeauty. We each had to create a look based on the theme “Mythical” and was given one hour to execute it. I thought of no other than @n.a.t.a.l.i.91 to be my ever versatile model. @caradelevingne would have been so proud, I tell you! If anything memorable happened before Covid-19 hit, this was one of them.

It’s Pi- day (3.14) today and also the first anniversary since I ugly cried when you proclaimed your rom-cheese vows @ayakomatsuu @ianology1209 and as you each read your letter of gratitude to your folks especially to @techiegrandpa... boy were these flood-works and ugly cries documented by an amazing team video team @cosmicemberscebu and ofcourse to @theleftfielder for the heartfelt moments he truly encapsulated for years to come.

If I’ve ever witnessed patience in its true definition it’s you two, despite what the year has thrown at you. Happy #Wedding to the three of us! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

A part of my bomb.com Maid of Honor Speech is still applicable today:
“If you guys have received oranges on your table, kindly raise them up to the couple for prosperity and good health, kay love in the time of Corona and a good source of vitamin C!”

Just a quick note to let you know I'm still alive and kicking.. still empowered to be seen and heard especially after what 2020 had thrown on us. I hope as women we know there is no limit to what we can accomplish when we support one another and lift each other up. I hope women continue to take up space and never back down despite the challenges and the industries that hold us to a different standard. Please let's hype each other up whether it’s a co-worker, your sister, a stranger, that random KFC lady who gives out extra fries.. anyone- We need to do this more often!

Here's to hyping up #bossbabe @thekayebee and thanking @2454abudhabi for recognizing women that thrive in the workplace.

The first three photos is how my #birthday should have been celebrated, a cheerful mandatory #selfportrait with a beautiful cake that was home delivered to me contactlessly by @joigifts, a lovely surprise from the beautiful soul @bluerings

But here's what really went down during my #quarantinebirthday...
.
.
Photo 4- My birthday sickness was on a streak without fail. I was entitled to Netflix and literally chilled to sappy romance movies while I devoured every salty-sweet snack I could find in the kitchen and napped every hour because what are sofa beds for right? #NoSummerBodyForThisOne
.
.
Photo 5- I don't usually bring my phone to the toilet, and with the negativity that's constantly flooding my news feed I seriously don't need to inject my eyeballs with more paranoia so I entertained myself by reading shampoo and face wash ingredients and wrote down ideas on toilet paper.
.
.
Photo 6- I've been saving this coat from @dollskill for my birthday lunch with the fam-bam which unfortunately couldn't push through (#Corona, you owe me a birthday party) so heck, I opened up the windows (for 5 minutes) to let some Vitamin D in before it magically rained and watered my plants *not a covid cough*. I definitely do not have a green thumb. But hey.. my winter Poinsettia managed to live through three months before I travelled!

Photo 7- While the internet continues to buffer because the entire world is uploading their Tiktok videos, I was forced not to play into boredom and took a fancy photo of myself waiting for my @deliveroo_ae order of #McDonald's to come through praying that they don't come with half-assed fries. Who else has experienced this stingy problem? #PleaseSirCanIHaveMoreFries
.
.
So March definitely took a different turn of the Marchian madness than I expected... alot of pain, paranoia, short lived memories and heart breaking news from close friends and front-liners.

Note to self: I'm going to remember this #QuarantineBirthday2020 and not to touch my face!
