The only good thing about graduating is that I get to say alma mater more frequently👩🏼‍🎓

About an hour ago, I finished my last final (thank you Jesus) of undergrad. Trying to put into words the growth, companionship, and joy this place has brought me is, to be completely honest, beyond my writing capabilities. I didn’t just earn degrees in Ministry Studies and Psychology; I gained something far more valuable than anything I could have learned in the basement of Cooke or in the chapel.

If I keep writing, I’ll probably end up crying, so I’ll leave it with this: thank you, Georgetown, for showing me just how special growing up can be, and thank you for giving me something that is so hard to say goodbye to. If this is what it’s like to end a chapter, then I’m okay with finishing the book. Off to @southernseminary I go! #futurebiblicalcounselor 🧡 taken in Georgetown College by @ellebprewitt

I’m writing this before it’s all over, but that doesn’t make the goodbye any easier. From the moment I found this sport, I learned lessons about life that nothing else could teach me. I learned that sometimes playing with your fly down is good luck (iykyk). I learned that fear can be your greatest setback and to embrace being uncomfortable. I learned that love is a word with many meanings, especially when it comes to a loss. I learned that unlikely friendships can come through shared commitment. I learned that my identity is not defined by performance, but by posture. I learned that positivity heals what self-consciousness tries to destroy. I learned that anxiety doesn’t have to be debilitating but can be something I work with instead of against. However, most importantly, I learned that God puts you exactly where you need to be when you set your mind on His will instead of your own.

To think, my career almost ended at 16—the day I told my dad I wanted to give up the game that I had cherished since I was 4 years old. It’s crazy to believe that I could have been a NARP in college… wow. With that being said, I thank God for giving me the courage to continue on. I thank God for giving me the opportunity to come to Georgetown College (even though I thought my last game had already been played). I thank God for the “Prrrs,” who showed me how to love pitching again. I thank God for past teammates who became lifelong best friends of mine. I thank God for current teammates who make even the worst days worth smiling about. I thank God for a family who almost never misses a game. I thank God for my dad, who showed me what my true potential could be. And sadly, I thank God for the end of it all.

While I would love to play forever, my expiration date has hit its mark (hello, back problems!). There will never be a day where I don’t miss this sport, and that’s perfectly okay with me. Because even though I’m leaving it, I think it will miss me too.

My big sister turned 24 today!😽

The person I go to when I need advice, the person I look to in admiration (disregarding the last picture), the person that shows genuine kindness like no other, and the person who I am forever thankful God chose to be my sis. Cheers to many more years of laughter and fun because it simply never runs out when you are around💓

CIY 2026 through the lens of my sermon notes🦋🪩🫶

LOVED
- You don’t have to audition for God’s love. You already got the part and there’s no understudy that’s going to serve the Kingdom in your place.
- God’s love is working for your good, but not always for what you think would be good for you.
- Knowing God’s love is a team sport. You’re playing, but He takes the pressure and makes the shot.

RESCUED
- In every effort to rescue ourselves we will come up short because the hardest part of a rescue is the person in trouble admitting to themself that they need to be saved.
- What if the worst thing in your life is not the most powerful? What if Jesus is?

CHANGED
- The measure of your spiritual maturity is not how you act in worship but how you respond when life gets hard.
- In a world focused on division, unity is crucial. Unity is sometimes simply admitting where we’ve got it wrong. Unity is how people outside of the church see the difference inside of it.
- Your passions and gifts are the currency of your life. Don’t waste your currency on distractions when you could be giving them to the Kingdom.

SENT
- Do not waste the ordinary moments because you are waiting around to be obedient in the extraordinary ones. Ministry often seems insignificant if it’s not on a broad scale.
- Everyone has power over the people around them. It’s called influence. Just as you have been shaped by the life around you must you go and shape others through your ministry.
- Stop being so caught up in your own faith that you don’t see others who are dying in theirs.
