2025 was the hardest year of my life.
After an unexpected diagnosis and deciding to go back to school I spent most of the year working. All of my time and energy went into my health and education. It felt like I had nothing left for anything else.

And yet so many amazing things happened in 2025! ☀️
I got to help create two art installations with @lulu.lemonless for @ukaiprojects + @dylan.alsop and @baddmachine for @nuitblancheto

Taught yoga at @kulaannex

Published a book chapter on my master’s thesis with @al__rogers + @quinnmacneil

Gave a talk on harm reduction in drag with @scienceisadrag

2025 taught me discipline and perseverance. In 2026 all I want is to make more art + build connection 💗 by @elleflows

We are so excited to announce the launch of Tender zine!

Now available at:
TO - @thebeguiling and @tangled_arts
MTL - @netaitcepaslete

Or DM @lmorris.art to get your copy!

Tender is an independent publication created in Toronto, Canada, on the traditional territory of many nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples of Southern Ontario. The creators represent a collective of Queer and Mad*/Disabled artists who came together to imagine care as community-based, abolitionist, and interdependent. Emerging from an art-based workshop series on community care facilitated by @lmorris.art for their master’s thesis in 2023, Tender invites readers to reflect on the work it takes to build community, and what it means to care for one another and thrive while the world burns around us.

*Mad is a reclaimed word and form of self-identification used by some people who experience mental illness, are Neurodivergent, or have interacted with the mental health system.

Much gratitude to @deedee.datalogue and @emilykatherineart for co-facilitating the sculpture + collage workshops

@madelinerosefiore for the zine design

@andilovesart + other contributing artists for bringing this work to life 💗

Last but not finally a huge thank you to @socialinnovationtmu and @joseph.kris for funding this work

10 years without you
10 years practicing yoga
5 years teaching yoga

Some of you know me as a yoga teacher/practitioner.

Over the years I’ve gotten a lot of questions, like was I always flexible (definitely no) or has yoga always come “easy” to me (also no, especially the meditative part!)
I love talking about yoga, but I don’t usually talk about why I started practicing yoga.

Ten years ago I lost a close friend.
I was living on the other side of the world, and couldn’t fly back in time to be with family and friends to celebrate her life.
I felt so lost and alone. She loved yoga, so I decided to go to my first class because at the time it felt like all I could do.

And honestly… yoga was hard! I had been a runner in high school, but trying to be chill, clear my mind, and focus on my breathing while holding a challenging pose was maybe one of the most difficult things I had ever done.

Some poses were uncomfortable. And there was something deeply vulnerable about trying to sink into a posture that I could maybe only half do or was constantly falling out of. But I kept going back, and yoga became a way not only to remember and honour my friend, but to show up for myself.

Over time yoga became a daily practice and slowly it reshaped my life. I learned how to still my mind by directing my attention to my body and breath. I started meditating. I became more present and attuned to my needs.

Five years ago I became a yoga teacher, like my friend had wanted to. Sharing this practice with others feels like coming full circle, helping others find the balance between attunement/discipline, strength/softness, and body/mind that my friend brought into my life.

A decade feels like a long time, and it also passed so quickly.
Thank you for changing my life, I will miss you always 💗 by @elleflows

@basscoastfest this year was magical

This was my second year, and I was once again blown away by the creativity, care and deep commitment to accessibility. Yes the festival creates the environment, but it’s the people who make @basscoastfest feel like not only an incredible music and arts festival, but a community 💗💗💗

I still have a few more stickers to give away!! If you’re in Toronto hit me up at a rave :) taken in Bass Coast Festival by @elleflows

In May we created our first festival installation for @sideburnregional

“Convergence” is an interactive kinetic sculpture inspired by the intricate exoskeletons of Radiolaria, single celled organisms that have been part of marine ecosystems for over 500 million years 🌊

By night “Convergence” glows under UV light, imitating radiolarians’ yellow-green phosphorescence

Concept developed by @lmorris.art who became spellbound by radialarians’ delicate, breathtaking exoskeletons in biology class

“Convergence” shares this sense of awe in the unseen, beautiful geometry of the natural world by creating interactive kinetic mandalas that spin when interacted with, creating shifting patterns that transform in front of you

Blending scientific curiosity with a yearning for spiritual connection, “Convergence” invites viewers to dream about how we can transform our relationship to nature from one of extraction to reciprocity. What worlds can we call into being when we make visible the unseen?

Continuing our series on phytoplankton, microscopic aquatic life, started during our “Diatomic States” installation at @designexchange for @nuitblancheto 2025, “Convergence” celebrates our interrelations with these species through immersive, interactive installation art

Last minute reminder for your @basscoastfest packing!!

Here are my top five fave things to bring to beat the heat and stay cool during a festival

Taking care of yourself doesn’t always have to be about big changes, it can also be the small things you bring along the way 💜

Remember if you need to cool down you can stop by harm reduction on your way to Slay Bay

Speaking of harm reduction, big ups to Bass Coast for winning the @womeninmusiccanada Changemaker of the Year Award for their harm reduction

Is there anything I missed? What else is on your must bring list? taken in Bass Coast Festival by @elleflows

Ahhh I have been absolutely loving subbing @kulaannex’s Yoga Strong, Saturdays at 11 am

As a yoga teacher who regularly lifts its not often that I get a chance to incorporate strength training into my teaching! It’s been such a fun challenge bringing together these parts of my life
