That’s how it was with Cornelia of @holistic_horse_farm. We’ve been connected online for a year and a half, yet somehow I never made it to this magical place. Something always came in between.

It had to be now.
On my solo journey.
Because after my deep connection with whales, elephants and lions, the horses are now calling me too.

I rarely have an explanation for it. But I’ve come to know this: the more you connect with your higher self, the more you begin to remember. Your soul path, your past lives, your gifts and your soul connections. 💛

All you have to do is stop asking why, and surrender.
That’s where the real magic of life begins. ✨

For us, hosting retreats has never been a business. It’s a mission, a calling, a path we consciously chose to walk. 💛

Gathering women in the most magical places on earth and holding space as they find their way back home to themselves might just be the most beautiful “job” in the world.

For seven days and seven nights, we lived in the beating heart of the South African bush, and it became a retreat that will stay with us forever. 🦓🐘

Deep rest, and yoga & meditation in the most extraordinary corners of nature, all on one of the most powerful ley lines on the planet.

Here, the land itself does part of the healing.

𝟷𝟶/𝟷𝟶. 𝙰 𝚙𝚘𝚛𝚝𝚊𝚕, 𝚊 𝚗𝚎𝚠 𝚖𝚘𝚘𝚗 𝚒𝚗 𝙻𝚒𝚋𝚛𝚊, 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚊 𝚍𝚊𝚝𝚎 𝚠𝚛𝚒𝚝𝚝𝚎𝚗 𝚒𝚗𝚝𝚘 𝚖𝚢 𝚜𝚘𝚞𝚕 💛

Two years ago, on this very day, the very first White Lion retreat was born. A dream I had carried for so long, suddenly real. 🦁 And that same day I was shown what soul love truly feels like. Not the kind you chase. The kind that recognises you. Something cracked open in me that never closed again. ❤️

A few days ago I stood in the yoni portal in Plett, salt on my skin, sun on my shoulders, on my solo trip through South Africa.

This journey is the journey of a new beginning: a new chapter for me and for my business, here in the land that feels like home. 🇿🇦

Looking back on this two-year cycle, I can feel how completely it has changed my life. Not through forcing or planning, but simply by following my heart and coming home to my feminine energy again.🔥

Today the circle turns. 1 + 0: an ending and a beginning, held by the infinite.♾️

With Venus retrograde, the goddess of love has turned inward. She isn’t asking us to look for love out there. She’s asking us to remember it in here, in our bodies, our softness, our pleasure, our light. 💫

I honour everything that was born on that day, and I let the old cycle go.
What was, was sacred.
What comes, I receive. 🙏🏻

Tonight’s new moon is for planting. Not from longing, but from wholeness. 🌑

Anyone who has read The Celestine Prophecy knows that the people we meet are no coincidence. Some of them carry a message meant just for us, because we are all guides for one another. 💫

So when I had a fascinating conversation with a shop owner in Wilderness back in May, and he told me about a magical place called Hogsback, I felt it was something I needed to remember. 🙏🏻

Months later, while planning my road trip, I felt that call again, but the name had slipped away. So I asked my guides for help, and the very next day it came back to me.🪶

When things, people or places find me like this, I know it’s never by chance.💛

Legend has it that Tolkien drew inspiration from Hogsback for The Lord of the Rings, and you believe it the moment you drive in. You feel the ley lines humming beneath your feet and the trees whispering to you. Deep in the misty forests, it's as if the fairies and elves are still watching over this place. And then there are the beautiful souls who call it home, earth angels in their own right. 🧚‍♂️

Hogsback feels like coming home. It’s like a soft blanket you can sink into completely, so warm and comforting that you never want to leave. 🔥

Dear Ashley, Mona, Melody, Happy and Phiwo, I’m going to miss you so much. You are my people, and I’ll be back without a doubt. You are living proof that home isn’t just a place. It’s the people with whom you can be 100% yourself.🫂😘

Travelling solo through South Africa was the best decision I ever made for myself. 🤍

It showed me how much I’ve grown, and that solo travel is the most honest therapy there is.

No one to lean on.
Just me, meeting myself on every road. 🙌🔥

Ever since I was a little girl, I sensed there was more than what my eyes could see. But I learned to quiet it. Feeling was slowly replaced by reasoning, by explaining, by making everything fit.

But what if not everything is meant to be explained by the mind?

Travelling solo opens a doorway.
It tunes you more deeply into your intuition, until you begin to sense what moves behind the veil.
Aligning with your highest frequency becomes effortless, and asking for signs and messages turns into a living, breathing conversation with your guides.💫

And I know with every fibre of my being that this place will forever remind me of the red-winged starling, the rooivlerkspreeu, I suddenly found in my suite, just after I had poured myself a glass of wine.
To this day, I have no idea how it found its way in. Every window, every door was closed.

But to me, it was a sign.🪶

A sign that choosing to live with an open heart, through the pain, the grief and the loneliness, will always carry you exactly where you are meant to be.💛

Back into union with yourself.
Back home. 🤍

And yes, living an abundant life on your highest timeline is all of that.
The signs, the guidance, the love, the people, the destinations… and the suite I called home for two nights. (Just scroll if you want to take a peek 😍)

This first happy photo might not say it right away, but I am a cry baby. Especially on this solo journey. 🥹

As a Pisces, I am an emotional sponge, soaking up everything around me. And I cry, often. From sorrow, from frustration, from gratitude, from joy…

But my first true tears fell here, in this very place.
Not from loneliness, not from grief, but from an overwhelming gratitude. 🙏🏻
Simply for being allowed to be here.
For feeling Mama Gaia move through every fibre of my being. For connecting with her, speaking with her, listening.

In that sacred moment, Mother Earth took my hand and led me back to the essence.
Back to being.
Unmasked.
Free of expectation, free of prejudice.
Free of the weight we all carry:
the fear of how we are seen, how we are measured, how we are judged… the moment we dare to walk a path that is truly our own.💛

Perhaps that is why this land has become the home of my soul. Because here, I am allowed to simply be.
And when the tears come rolling in like the waves on this shore, no one turns away.

Instead, they meet my eyes and softly say:

‘I’m so glad you felt it too 🧡’

And to the beautiful souls at @umngazi, thank you.
For opening your doors and your hearts to me.
For two nights where the river met the sea and I met myself a little more deeply.

Your warmth and hospitality made this corner of the Wild Coast feel like coming home. I am endlessly grateful I was allowed to rest here, in your embrace. 🌊

I wrote a whole caption for this post.

About how I changed, and what brought me here.
But some stories are too sacred to share. Some things are meant to stay close to the heart. 💛

What I can say is this:
Loneliness has nothing to do with being alone.
You can feel lonely lying next to someone.
And you can feel whole, happy and complete in your own company.

I loved every moment of my me-time in the Drakensberg.
And I will be back.
To share it with the one I love. 💛
