Meet Ellen Ball, one of the artists featured in MvVO ART SHOW 2026 at Waldorf Astoria New York.

A New York-based artist with a background in graphic design and beauty illustration, Ellen creates richly layered mixed-media paintings that explore beauty, perfection, and the pressures placed on women.

Working with oil paint, collage, metal leaf, and found imagery, she transforms familiar female figures into striking new compositions. Patterns, textures, and deliberate imperfections give her work a powerful tension between glamour and vulnerability.

A glimpse of what’s to come. See the full picture September 21–27 at Waldorf Astoria New York, alongside an exciting roster of contemporary artists.

About last night…
I’m floating!

What an epic opening night at J. Mackey Gallery of my solo show “Sailing to Byzantium” in East Hampton.
We had an amazing turnout on a beautiful hot summer night…
I can’t thank Justine and her team enough for their hard work, supporting me and making this happen. We did it! I can’t believe we pulled it off. Such an amazing show, I could not have done it without all of your hard work and Partnership! And beautiful Gallery! The work looked truly amazing, was hung beautifully, and your gorgeous gallery, the brochure is the postcards the wall text: everything was sensational! and the Gallery was buzzing with energy and good vibes.

Thank you to my family and friends, colleagues, supporters and collectors for coming out and sharing in such a special night! There’s no me without you! 🙏💋🙏

Thank you to @CuratorCarole, Carole Reed, for making this awesome video for me!!! 📸

The show will be up until August 23. Get out to J. Mackey Gallery in East Hampton if you can!
