The AI Ick

Break-up with Instagram…imminent

Something about this gives me the creeps…uncanny valley

Inaccurate…sure

Unrelated associations…obviously

Unasked for…valueless noise

Questionable intention…creates suspicion

Seemingly innocent…tip of the iceberg

I’ve believed other AI summaries…duped

Duped often enough…generalized distrust of everything

There it is..the Ensh!tification of today’s technology. Trap the user, then trap the businesses, then screw both.

It’s all just fodder for others to make money with, somehow

So who is making money from this AI? by @ellenking

Fall in the eastern US is something to behold. We took advantage of the warm weather and visited Mill Grove the home of John J Audubon. Learned some new facts about birds, only saw/heard a handful. But the autumn leaves were wonderful as were the fungi. And the company was pretty great too 😊

The Great Lighthouse Caper! A road trip through New England with my brother, sister-in-law, sister and niece. We saw about 20 of 200 lighthouses from Cape Cod, to Rhode Island, to Maine, and visited an old whaling ship and village. Lots of driving, talking, eating good food, and scenic detours (getting lost). We live 1000s of miles apart so renewing our relationships was really the best part 💖

Plus a rare Sun Dog sighting on the way back ☀️🌈

Calm your nervous system with these doodles

Sometimes when I reach for my sketchbook my brain and nervous system aren’t settled enough to make “art”. All I can do is make repetitive flowing marks and doodles and let it all unspool. And some days that’s enough.
