I've been sitting at tables in Hamburg for the past 4 months. This is my appreciation post.
Sat there with great new people.
Other days I sat somewhere alone, eating delicious food or looking at the harbour.
Often I found my way back in the studio at HFBK afterwards.
I'm looking forward to seeing you all again!
From now on, you can find me sitting somewhere in Leipzig.
See you soon

Imagine a big city.
The city is divided into seven districts and 104 neighborhoods and its numerous rivers and canals are crossed by 2,500 bridges. In the urban canyons 955.444 cars are parked on 7.500 streets, The highest point in the city is 116.2 meters above sea level. It’s a small hill close to the city’s border, covered with bruce trees.
The average annual temperature is 9.4 degrees. Over the course of a year, an average of 773 milliliters of precipitation falls. There is fog on 52 days.
During the winter months, it can get very stormy.
Last week it was 39 degrees.

A few months ago we tried to list the 10 most famous people of our town.
We couldn’t figure it out.
We had three beers in three different bars on Friday.

We are on the 8th floor now
The room measures about 12qm
Citycenter 1 km away
Messe 5 km
Train station 1.5 km
Airport 10 km
Geographic center of the city 2.7 km
Across the geographic center: the local art-supply store called Boesner
500 m further the studios
The cafeteria is located 30 m below the studios
A hard-boiled egg costs 80 cents there
It takes 35 seconds to peel an egg

They say it’s all about being at the right place at the right time. We believe we are in a great location.
