I can’t really put into words what this show and this moment in my life meant to me. My First Time WAS my first time writing, directing, producing, promoting and performing solo. A terrifying feat I could not have pulled off without the love and support of those around me. Thank you to all my incredible friends who came to see me bare all, in the middle of their work day and thank you to the strangers who now know me waaaaayyy too well, who did the same. To my amazing pals and tech crew @theleftanswer and @meghanbartualsmyth thank you for saving my arse so last minute and making my vision come to life. To my beautiful angels @floomahony and @em_barrassment thank you for your guidance, support and reassuring words of “dude, you’ve got a show” when I was certain I absolutely did not. Thank you to my best mate and wife @jessica.ruscoe for being there through every meltdown, every line run and for coming backstage, holding me and having a cry with me when it was over. I’ve been acting since I was a teenager, but this one hit different. This was mine. I’ve never put myself out there quite like this before and I’m so glad and proud that I did. My whole adult life I have been blessed to be surrounded by friends who are artists. I’ve watched them write books of poetry, record albums, sew masterpieces, exhibit their photographs and paintings, film movies and TV series and stage their own shows. Just being in the vicinity of creatives doing what they love and bravely pouring themselves into their passions has been my forever inspiration. It took me a hot minute, but I finally feel like I have showed up for myself as an artist. And dat feels really groovy 😎💙

Diabolically grateful for this adventure and the lil pilgrim fam I made along the way. 370km through Portugal and Spain’s backyards, coastline and forests. Don’t think I’d ever really be able to put into words what my first Camino gave me (inner peace and a toe-hawk, which is like a Mohawk but made of skin and on your toe), but I will treasure it and the friends I made forever. 🇵🇹🥾🇪🇸💕 by @ellforeman
