Returned home to the village to farewell Na today. Walked up the mountain where she used to take us as kids to look over the village. Took a moment to sit by Galoa beach where your soul is swimming, laughed with the kids and sat with the elders and family. Always had a love/hate (predominantly hate🫠) relationship with the bike However this is was the key maintaining power/strength/ fitness throughout my many years rehabbing my knee in my professional career as a rugby 7s player. I was a five year-old kid adopted from Fiji when i first had a dream to become an Olympic gold medallist to now celebrating our 10 year reunion on the day this childhood dream came true. Even more importantly…we made history in Australian sport. Thank you to Rugby Australia, RUPA and everyone that organised this special day to recognise this once in a lifetime achievement.
