Last night I lost the most important man in my life to stage four pancreatic cancer. It feels like my hearts been ripped out of my chest and cut into pieces. He got diagnosed January 7th and we thought we’d have more time.

My dad was by far the best father figure i could ask for. When I decided to join soccer he would always wait for practices to be over and then decided he would just become a coach. He would wait at the bottom of the mountain for hours waiting for me to snowboard down when he was still teaching me. He taught me how to cook and we created some of the best memories together in the kitchen. All those times we would be Snorkeling in Hawaii & learning how to surf. With him I never had to worry about anything. He was the best dad and much more. I couldn’t have asked for a better loving father than this one right here.

I just wish I could fake being asleep in the car one more time so you would carry me to my room. I’m forever a daddy’s girl and heartbroken you were needed elsewhere before you could watch me succeed. I love you so much and am glad you no longer are in pain.
