POSTS STORIES REELS

Hi, I’m Ellie! Welcome to the Ellie Mack Universe, or as I like to call it, the EMU.
I write all sorts of contemporary romance novels, set in the same fictional universe (aka the EMU). It’s like our world, but with significantly less fascism and slightly more boning.

The EMU is a proudly anti-AI space! I wrote all of these words with my own brain.

Stick around—I bet you’ll find something you like. Glad to have you here :) by @elliemackbooks

The New York Ballet Theater pas de deux is a romance duology that follows twin sisters Lindsay and Bailey through the same summer. You can read them in any order (they start on the same day!) but Make It Nice does contain extremely mild spoilers for Kiss Me Thrice.

Both books are available now, in KU, ebook, and paperback formats! by @elliemackbooks

The Aster Mountain Lodge is an (incomplete) series of interconnected standalone romances that follows four siblings on their journeys to love…plus a spinoff for the oldest brother’s ex (what can I say? I found the horse girl compelling).

WHATAML is a snowed in, second chance, high school sweethearts novella, where Danny and Cleo try to repair a downtrodden mountain lodge…and their relationship.

The Gala Contract is an (anti-capitalist) billionaire romance about Danny’s half brother, Paul, an uptight lawyer who loves to follow rules, who falls in love with Cleo’s bestie, Alicia, a nervous wreck of a woman who’s terrified of love.

Shutter Sounds is follows Danny & Paul’s sister, Diana on a whirlwind adventure through L.A., where she meets a hot, broody photographer who helps her forget her troubles for a while…and then adds to her troubles significantly.

Run for the Money is a sports romance novella crafted specifically to give Paul’s ex, Melanie, a happy ending. Under the watchful eye of the stern, closed-off Nick Korbel, Melanie is an equestrian show jumper training for the Olympics…but what she really wants to jump is Nick’s bones. Chronologically, this fits between The Gala Contract’s epilogue and Shutter Sounds’ epilogue, but it can absolutely be read as a standalone.

The fourth book will exist someday. Promise. by @elliemackbooks

To sum up: October was whack; glad that’s done.

If you need me, I’ll be researching how to find out if you’ve been cursed, and also how to break curses ✌️ by @elliemackbooks

What was so traumatizing about work last month?
Well, highlights include:
👻 a woman emailed everyone a pic of her husband’s corpse—embedded in the body of the email! Not even an attachment!
👻 staff member was in a car vs human accident (they were the human) (they lived, and the injuries will heal!) (they were texting me…at the time of the accident)
👻 lady flew in from Texas for an event…then had a heart attack at her hotel, and instead of going to the ER…came to my office! (I took her to the ER) (same day as the car accident)
👻 a vendor made a mistake that jeopardized 5 months of my work and tens of thousands of dollars! Took 7 days of nonstop work, dozens of calls with the board & execs, hundreds of wellness checks from the aforementioned execs, and a bottle of red wine to solve the crisis (yep, this was the event heart attack lady flew in for)

And that’s just the highlights! 😀

Anyway…hoping for a less traumatizing November so I can do something other than dissociate this month 💜 by @elliemackbooks

Turns out I will do a LOT for the sake of quiche

(Also, I’m very nervous this is gonna have an ai tag cuz I was scrolling to find the fade-out I wanted and accidentally clicked an ai transition and it wouldn’t let me undo until it rendered 😭 so if it has that little banner, KNOW THAT IT’S A CRUEL LIE and this entire minute of chaos came directly from my soft, squishy, skull meat) by @elliemackbooks

My kingdom for a single day where AI doesn’t piss me tf off and send me into a blind rage ✌️

Seriously, losing the ability to do basic word processing & document-editing tasks without needing to dodge AI has really cramped my style, and I mean that in such a deeply millennial way. I could scream 😀 by @elliemackbooks

Another day, another glamorous set of circumstances for yours truly 😂

Don’t worry about how much time I spent researching how to become a cobbler’s apprentice online after I broke the shoe. Or how much of that time could have been devoted to writing. by @elliemackbooks

It’s spooky how romantic these heroes are 👻

From grumpy horse trainers to surprisingly swoony estate & trust lawyers, the Aster Mountain Lodge series has a book boo for everyone 💜 all four are out now, in ebook, paperback, and on KU by @elliemackbooks

Follow the microtrope, get a book rec! No matter what, you get a treat at the end 💜 by @elliemackbooks

Are ambulance lights? Is ambulance lights? Idk dude. I just know my house is not influencer-perfect. My days are fairly mundane. But I’m putting my butt in the chair, in front of the keyboard, and little by little, I’m writing the next book—and this is what it looks like.

Wait, pals, did you know I wrote a bunch of books before the NYBT books? I wouldn’t be surprised if you didn’t know, because I have been neglecting my backlist for the past few years 🫣

But these four books are honestly bangers. I’m trying to fall in love with them again this season, and I think you should fall in love with them, too. So get ready to learn more about Aster Mountain and the chaotic crew of folks who surround it. by @elliemackbooks
