Yesterday marked one year of highs and lows. One year of constantly looking for hummingbirds, listening to the playlists you made (even the questionable ones), spoiling Ruby, and trying to be as intentional in every interaction as you always were. It’s been a year of missing you all so much, and of doing my best to become someone you can be proud of. I can’t wait to see each of you again someday, but for now, I cherish the little ways you show up every day, whether in a thought, a sign, something someone else says, or in my own actions. Dad, it’s your first birthday in heaven🤍. I wish you were here, but I know you’re exactly where you’re meant to be. Your perfect day would’ve been getting a chai latte with cinnamon, playing golf with your favorite golfer (@scmaneth), and dinner at Hopkins where we’d share wings and eat WAY too much. After dinner, we’d head home, listen to music, and talk for hours. It sounds familiar and perfect to me, but I’m sure you have something even better planned up there. I hope you’re enjoying the view and know we’re thinking of you in everything we do. by @elliemaneth

El Jeffe, the best there ever was. Not just my dad, but my friend. Our time was cut too short but I’m so grateful to carry your spirit with me anywhere I go. Thank you for being the best protector, friend, and confidant. I’ll miss you everyday🤍
Nana and Buddy, thank you for giving me the best parts of each of you🤍
The tragedy of this will stay with me forever, but so will the love they each gave me. At the end of the day, life isn’t always fair, but there’s always a greater plan even if it’s impossible for us to understand or see. I am so excited to see my people again someday. by @elliemaneth
